Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how I retimed nearly 50 runs to make them fair.

I'm back!

It was brought to my attention that the timing of runs is inconsistent across the category, mainly due to an odd starting time chosen by the previous mods. But we're aiming to alleviate that issue!

Soon (over the next few days), we're going to retime the top 20 runs in each category. This may screw with people's rankings, but we believe it's the best course of action to take before the category gets too competitive. We're not going to change the start time of each run, but we'll enforce the specific start times much more precisely - down to the millisecond. There are hundreds of runs, so we can't reasonably do this for every participant, which is why the top 20 runs in each category are going to be directly adjusted.

Again, this shouldn't negatively affect anyone's run outcomes. It may change rankings for runs with extremely similar times, but no major changes will happen to the start/end times, and nobody will be put at a large disadvantage.

In the meantime, run verifications will temporarily be put on hold, so we can make sure that existing runs get the attention they need, and no mistakes are made. As soon as everything is in order, we will get back to verifying new runs with the new precise timings.

Sidenote, welcome to our newest mod, PPGDUD! They'll be helping with verification from now on, as well as adjusting existing runs in what I'm now calling "The Great Retime" (TGR) for the sake of efficient communication in the future.
