Hello! I don't run this game, but I was actually playing casual with a friend of mine, and I accidentally did the (underflow) glitch to get 99 Armor! After checking the speedruns, looks like runners have been doing it with a bow swap, but I didn't do it with a bow. I just put on a leather armor. Just wanted to share incase this method may be faster or easier or something?

how did wearing the leather armor cause an underflow on armor, i already utilize a RNG manipulation seed to spawn the first 15 floors practically consistently with the same maps, and generally the same pool of items which consists of 1 bow 1-2 rings on floor 1, a bow and battle axe on floor 2, and the 2nd ring on floor 3 incase floor 1 did not spawn it. if YOU CAN REPLICATE an underflow method using a leather armor this may allow different floor manipulation patterns. RNG is so heavy in the late game any time saved early will help, ive only hit sub 17 twice and both videos dont exist anymore lmao.

i know the leather armor has an armor value of 1. the reason the bow swap works is due to an oversight on bows, when wearing a short bow, and swapping to any other bow. it -1 armor. when wearing a longbow and swapping to any other bow it -3 armor. this is how the armor underflow works in this case. thats why im confused on the leather armor as it adds armor, it does not subtract.
