Hi everyone,
We now have five new IL categories for the Selection A challenge races: Single Lap! The beauty of this is that submissions are still reported using the In-Game timer. These new levels will follow the same rules for all other Selection A individual levels.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for the switch submissions will now be accepted. After much scrutiny, we have decided that there is no clear advantage to speedrunning the game using NWC Excitebike. The NWC level challenges do conform to our current rules for Selection A individual level submissions. However, we are implementing some new rules specific to NWC:
- Rewinds are NOT allowed.
- The blinking lap time that appears on screen must be clearly visible for all Single Lap submissions.
- The final In-Game time that appears on screen must be clearly visible for all two lap Challenge race submissions.
Ok, you're all caught up. Now get on that dirt bike and make some noise!!
Hey folks, please note that we now have two new full game speedrun categories:
Selection A 100% Selection B 100%
The "100%" categories expand upon the existing full game categories by encompassing all ten available races in one single segment run. Big thanks to AndrewG for setting everything up! Give these new categories a try :)

Turbo Board is sponsoring a speedrun bounty event for the Selection B [any%] category. It's a fun way to compete and there will be prizes for the top 5 finishers! The tournament runs through February. Official rules and guidelines here: https://turboboard.io/
