So you might have noticed that the loads during maps are essentially random. I have come up with some ruling.
Once you encounter a load screen, you want to pause the timer on the frame the screen completely fades out and only grey can be seen. You can resume the timer on the first frame the load screen will fade out.
This time without loads will apply to Any% runs under 11:00 RTA, 100% runs under 25:00 RTA and basically all the ILs.
I will start retiming the runs soon.
Given that I'm the only active enough mod here and lazy to verify runs, I'm looking forward to hiring new verifiers that are suitable for the job.

Rules are simple: -avoid doing forced jumps as much as possible (where you need to press spacebar or the jump button on mobile) -coils are allowed, but will be in a seperate category because you don't have to jump as much

The infinite jump glitch has been done more often in runs, so I decided to add a subcategory for it. All runs that have IFG will just be moved to Any% from now on. (and yes easy plus hard mode is allowed in that category)

I was wondering if we could do the clip and start the timer right when we enter the area.
Load screens can be so godforsaken long and it's not fair if a guy who has a terrible run with 1 second load times and the other has 20 second load times and is literally spending all their time on this game just for a good run. There's no reason to keep load times so why keep it? More people would be willing to run this game if they don't have to sit through all that shit.
And if we agree to this then we can choose to count the transition to Chapter 1-2 or not because it counts as a load screen as well.
I happened to stumble upon this game on speedrun.com and just a short while ago I already played the game so I was interested in running this game. However, there are some things that need a little bit of fixing.
First of all, the specification on the full-game rules. It says "start the timer when the game starts". Where exactly does the game start? After the loading screen? Does it start once we press Part 1 on the menu or once Part 1 loads? If you could explain where the game starts SPECIFICALLY, that would be much appreciated.
Secondly, the differences between full-game and ILs. The ILs have Glitchless, Any% and 100%, but the full-game doesn't even say if any future glitches are allowed or not and there's no 100%. You'll probably need to look at that one.
Thirdly, the ILs themselves. There's an Escape from Shadow Man category which starts after Shadow Man captures you in Dream. I don't see a point in having that while we already have Part 2 covering that entirely. I would understand Dream a bit.
If you could look into those problems, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for understanding.
