Thanks! I honestly had no idea there were special moves until I learned about the leaderboard. It's how I've always played the game.
Can do. Already got to work on fixing the habit. Now I just move once Ecto-Ooze flies off and split once the zord stops moving. All that's left for me now is to beat my PB. Gonna add 2 seconds to the final time so it evens out.
Thanks Sm_Izumi.
So, I just noticed that my 3rd place run's final split is done when Ooze-Ecto flies off. A habit I'm going to have to break, as it's exactly what I've been doing in my recent de-rust runs as well. I guess to me it just makes sense since that's technically the end of the game, control or not of the zord. Not really sure if this was a rule one year ago or not, can't remember.
Was it and I'm forgetting, or have the rules changed?
Totally fine if my run is removed because of this. Just curious is all.
Runs now require a timer for verification. This is fixing a slight overtsight on my part, as well as making the verification process easier.
Just wondering what the game level is for runs. I've run on the default and 1, with level 1 matching the vids I've watched. Just want to make sure I'm following the rules before I submit runs.
i've noticed an issue with the names of the leaderboards. Red/Blue Hawk Rangers are actually the Crimson/Navy Thunder Rangers. So, it should be Red/Blue/Yellow Wind Rangers and Crimson/Navy Thunder Rangers respectively. I'm really only pointing this out because I've done a few practice runs, and it would've been a smidge awkward to submit a run under the wrong category lol.
So, this may sound like a stupid question, but do I just upload the screenshot to a site and link it? I wanna do this right (after a screw up on my part already), so thanks in advance.
Were VBA and Bizhawk the only 2 emulators tested? I only ask because they're the only ones discussed, and if they were, then there are at least 2 other possible options (No$ and mGBA). This thread exist purely for my own curiosities as I have a Japanese cart in the mail. (Also, what lag does Bizhawk emulate that VBA doesn't? I've run the game on both, and haven't seen lag on either...)
See, I'm of the opposite opinion. Mercs by all means isn't great, but once you figure out the best strat for each character it's relatively easy. Leon on Waterworld is the most difficult, but playing smart will net the 5 stars. Each sitting to try to beat Pro has ended with me wanting to put my fist through my TV in frustration lol.
Just curious about opinions on which is more difficult to unlock, ignoring the fact that the Handcannon needs to be upgraded before it gets infinite ammo.
Just a bit curious as to the rules for a NG+, like digivolutions and whatnot. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
