is there a reason for not having separate glitched/glitchless categories? I think glitches is more interesting to run
Timing starts the first frame inputs are possible. If you load from the level select menu, it's when the screen has stopped flipping over, and if you restart, it's when the black screen completely goes away
The only things that keep this from being a 0%:
Level 5 (1 star) Level 9 (2 stars) Level 15 (6 kills)
Gg dude, that's insane
The only issue is one i brought up the other day - it's gonna be so annoying to try to do this in a run. It's gonna discourage basically every player, including myself. But it doesn't mean it can't be a category
As an update to people that care, both me and proplayer have got the box over the thing without collecting the star (not using the ridiculous method above) but the corner jump is still too hard
K, sooooo I might have a theoretically possible way of getting the box at the start over the thing in the ground which is supposed to stop it without collecting that star. However, I say theoretically possible for a reason - its so hard. And I was trying without the enemy, which will make it like 10 times harder, but I think still theoretically possible:
-
you'll have to knock the enemy off the box, over to the right.
-
push the box to pretty much as far left as it will go
-
go over to the thing that is supposed to stop the box, run (roll I guess?) left, jump at the right time (about in the middle of the grass before the bridge) to land past the star, then jump again when you land into the box
-
if you hit the box just right, it will be diagonal and standing on one corner. Go back a bit and hit it again, and try to get under the box
-
now the hard part (yes the previous part was the easy part) balance the box above you and try to take it over to the right. You'll have to jump over the star and still catch the box (I haven't managed to do this yet) and also jump over the enemy.
Step 5 is the part I can't do/ don't know if is possible. Plus I still haven't hit the corner jump. Unfortunately I doubt this technique will ever see the light of day
One of the stars in the air just before the crate section, the star on the first crate, and the last star.
Me and Proplayer are trying to improve this, by getting the box over the part where it is supposed to stop, but this seems to be impossible without collecting the star on the bridge
I think u have to get it first try or restart the level though, you need a lot of momentum
Yeah it's done in level 5, but no one has been able to do it in 13 and I personally don't think it's doable, but feel free to prove me wrong lol
Yeah, I think the list I wrote above is pretty much finalised then. 9 and 5 might have undiscovered strategies which enable them to be completed with less stars tho. What happens if people complete runs with these numbers as low%, but then a new strat is found to be able to only collect 2 stars in 9 for example?
Also, has anyone managed to execute the "boss push" on the mobile version of the game? It's used in the rb4v1 WR, though it is a glitch but we could use it for a glitched low%. The boss seems to have slightly different mechanics in the mobile version, so I don't know if it's possible, but that could eliminate 5 kills from the run
Just putting this here as a progress update, and an easier way to find which levels can be worked on, even though it will probably be out of date quickly, this will make it easier to update First number is the level, second number is stars, and third number is kills
1: 0, 0 2: 0, 0 3: 0, 0 4: 0, 0 5: 2, 0 6: 0, 0 7: 0, 0 8: 0, 0 9: 3, 0 10: 0, 0 11: 0, 0 12: 0, 0 13: 0, 1 14: 0, 0 15: 0, 6
In conclusion, the levels which collect stars are:
5 (2 stars) 9 (3 stars)
And the levels which kill enemies are:
13 (1 kill) 15 (6 kills)
I honestly can't tell if your being serious, but just In case, he was joking
Yeah, but it's just gonna be a bit weird to make a ruleset because of the ridiculously hard jumps in 13/14. If we make them required, it won't be fun to run and will just be annoying and long. If we don't then it's not really a true low% so idk but I definitely like the idea
