The problem is the leaderboard is very chaotic as it is because everything is IL speedruns. Also, due to lag coming from Ninja Kiwi's co-op servers, more players won't make it much faster in the long run and it will definitely be slower than solo
I completely forgot about this to be honest, but I've finally got a run done, it's not great but it works (19:50), I did in ce because I didn't wanna reset from r6 every time I made a mistake, hope that's still OK:

I agree with that, I suppose you could use a drop-down menu in the category extensions section as opposed to adding more IL categories to the main game
This has probably been suggested before, but I think that a category should be created for completing CHIMPS with only two towers in the fastest time. I'm sure some of the community are aware of this being both a well-tracked challenge and also an achievement in-game.
It could be separated by map, or difficulty, or just kept in one category. I think this is a good idea because it changes playing technique drastically - it is very unlikely that you will be able to simply place both towers near the start and still succeed, so it brings a new skill to the game - placing towers accurately and making sure, especially in the earlygame, that bloons do not leak through a large portion of the map by having careful ability timing or changing targeting.
Anyway, I'd love to hear what you guys think of this idea and I hope it gets added soon!

- I completely agree with BurningFlames, apart from quick placement and fps uncapping there's not a huge difference - you might not be able to get some of the tightest WRs but you can still get good times in most categories
- A BTD6 speedrunning discord can definitely not hurt, it's much easier to share runs and strategies and could become important if this game blows up in popularity. Also thanks for recognising me in the post noneleft!
[edit] To add to my point about having a discord, I think it would make co-op speedruns way more popular because it allows people to find other runners who are active at that time who can do runs with you
the only obvious way to do that is by measuring it using external timers, but in some runs it will be unclear when it hits the plate unless f3 is open
for morphs, equip them in favourites by right-clicking in the collectibles menu and then open inventory after you start the run and activate it. for gadgets, i believe, at least for cornucopia, that you can use the momentum of the first explosion to hit the pressure plate and then use it as normal. someone could do with confirming this tho, i’m not certain how cornucopia works as i do not have it myself
most cosmetics are useless for it anyway, the only useful ones are cave spider (halloween), rabbit (easter), cornucopia (holidays) and fire trail (buyable with mystery dust)
Which parkour? If its Build Battle then many players experience a similar issue, just change to an older update unless you're going for a top-10 time or lower because then you lose time playing on older updates in cp1
you can take it down yourself if you go into your profile and find the run in completed runs I think
