There is no rule against using shortcuts.
As for the missing tracks, is your copy Collector's Edition because if not, that's where the issue lies.
I'm pretty sure the reason why it isn't generally allowed is due to 3DO emulation being fairly poor and furthermore, the 3DO's performance as a whole being quite poor. Due to the differences between the 3DO version and the rest of them, it'd be best to separate it and make a page dedicated to it. We haven't done that yet due to more or less noone running it on 3DO and me never getting around to actually do a proper run.
WCG is the No Uniques category. Uniques is the Uniques category.
You can use the Corolla in any of them, what chiwie was saying was not worded too well but what he was trying to convey is that people don't really bother using any other cars because they're slower than the Corolla.
Nah, it's honestly alright. Some of the other ones are worse.
It's a bug with the way the game's timer was programmed. It is not really avoidable, you can just reduce the effects in some of the games that it's present. We manually retime individual level runs anyway so you don't have to worry about it.
Luck of the draw in all honestly, plus if you see that a run breaks even one rule, you stop checking it and you move on. The same cannot be said for a valid run, although generally speaking we wouldn't be spending 15hrs on 3min run.
This is a categories extension run, meaning it's not for a main category. This run can be performed on any platform where it is possible to replicate what is required to complete the run.
Alternatively, everyone just starts using it and we manually retime every run. If everyone is running the game overclocked, everyone is on equal grounds, and thus, not "cheating". If need be, you can filter between real hardware and emulator runs on sr.c, so there is also that if you feel that it'd be unfair towards people running on real hardware (of which there are not many.)
Done, in the future please only submit via In-Game Time.
As long as you don't disappear on us like the last dude, sure.
that was me, sorry about that :D haven't been verifying too many runs recently and didn't notice it cuz of this new layout
Okay so, I've played through the game on PS2 (US Version) and I'm aware I'm a little late but I can confirm that it is in fact possible to get 100% and the issue might very well be something to do with you missing some hidden race which doesn't appear in the world map screen in the garage or something to do with the sponsors.
It is pretty much impossible to avoid timebug simply because of how the game works. It is completely random and it appears in other Blackbox titles, with each game having their own quirks in regards to how the timebug manifests.
If you perform one and link it here, we'll be able to add the category and set some rules for it. Thank you in advance! :D
