Went to pee and got Dragon Treasure BRUUUUUUUH
Conversion is dumb since you play different due to the lag, less lag makes the game easier to play cause you don't need to worry about lag reduction strats.
I'm not sure how accurate loads are on console, I think they can vary somewhat. I don't see it being much of an issue seeing as most people run on emu anyway and the difference likely won't be significant.
PS2 has the fast disc speed option which is why PS1 emulators can't skip the cutscenes quickly, same thing happens when I play the game on a PS1 or forget to put on the FDS option on PS2.
First frame mini turbos (ghost turbo)
- getting a mini turbo orange or more on the first frame will result in a "ghost turbo" where the colour will be of the previous tier of turbo but you will still get the extra speed/duration of the higher mini turbo.
- for example a ghost purple mini turbo will be orange
- not really possible to time but if you TT a track for a while you may notice on some turns you can get them quite often and they do save a little time.
Nice run, but if this category were to be put on the leaderboards you would be required to purchase all the car parts and paint jobs. The game has an inbuilt percentage counter so technically this run isn't 100% completion.
If you wanted to run a fast speed category with items then SGP% on fast speed would be much better as a category imo.
won't be very interesting, 7 laps would make it easy to frontrun still despite expert difficulty. not to mention this category would be over 3 hours long.
Brake drifting
- tap the brake button while drifting in order to not hit walls
- useful for driving on insane speed and on a few time trials such as the last turn on The ghost zone (shown below)
Currently known strats/glitches:
-
Double slime on ramps (shown on mutagen wasteland)
-
Press the trick button twice to get this, spamming also works.
-
Allows you to get an extra boost in on mutagen wasteland at the start making it required for that TT at WR level.
-
This is easier on the high ramps but it also works on the cycle based ramps in levels like Kilted Yaksmen raceway although it may not be that useful TT wise there.
-
Ramp edge boosts (shown on 'Lympics park)
-
Probably doable on other tracks, also seems like Rocko can do them better than Shredder.
-
Bumper boosts (Dreamland only)
-
Angle of your left stick matters when hitting the bumper and even when in the air a little in order to drift tighter round turns and get better boosts.
-
Ace Savvy seem like the best wheels for doing this with shredder
-
Super bumper boosts (Dreamland only)
-
Getting the big boosts like this is super rare, it's also possible to skip the first turn on dreamland by going neutral as you hit the first bumper, but the game thinks you're going backwards once you land and respawns you.
-
Cycle manipulation
-
by skipping the track start screen later you can change the cycles in the track
-
Would be useful on tracks like Reptar Ruins/Dreamland where getting good geiser cycles every lap saves a lot of time.
Don't see why it would be a bad thing to make a trifecta leaderboard even if not many people run it. If anything it will make more people do trifecta runs which is a good thing.
The best way to stream it would be to get a gamecube with the gameboy player attachment which allows you to play gameboy games on your TV. then just use a normal capture card to stream it.

I'm gonna be testing and doing runs of this category tommorow, so I will make a full guide soon :)
This strat is only needed if your nidoking is slower than starmie which shouldn't be that often, so using tail whip is pointless. X defend isn't that common anyway.
First of all you need to bounce on the grey metal bouncy box in snow go 200 times, this takes 3 minutes 6 seconds.
Then the important bit, you need to spin crouch everytime you land to make the game think you are still in the air and kill 25 seals (each seal = 1 crystal) If you have done it correctly everytime you kill a seal you should hear a click sound.
You should glitch high jump before you kill the first seal so that all 3 of them count towards getting a crystal. You can do a normal high jump but only 2 of the 3 seals will count.
I don't know much about this category, but I feel like going back to fight trainers later in the game will be used a lot especially if beating the game is required?
In that case Red is probably faster because Nidoking would save a load of time with thrash if you kept it for trainers later (and horn drill obviously)
They were never banned to begin with, they just weren't accepted as WR even if it's a trusted runner.
Now you have to show the whole emulator window for it to be accepted to help prevent cheating.
Hi could you add me as a mod to speedrun.com/rcrevenge I just submitted a run, and I haven't had a reply from the only 'active' mod. 2 of the mods are completely inactive and non of the mods run the game.
I'd also like to change the layout of the page too, which hasn't been changed in a year.
