So the site icon (the one in the browser tab, normally the trophy icon) somehow changed to the one I had like 3 years ago in my theme.
I don't see any way at all to restore it back in the theme settings, profile settings or global settings.
Any help?

EDIT: Rules changed, now you can submit runs using 3D All-Stars here: https://www.speedrun.com/sm64ce#Super_Mario_3D_All-Stars
Uuuuuh... Emulator is allowed. The runs are just hidden but you can filter runs with emulator if you want to.
From the rules: "The only allowed emulator is Project 64 v1.6. If using emulator, using save states and speedup for any reason is not allowed. If using emulator, the entire emulator, including the window border, must be captured and visible."
In fact, even if emulator wasn't allowed, nothing is stopping you from doing a run and just not submitting.
Another thing they added (I forgot to talk about it) is you can skip Pat's minigames on the second loop of the game. I've only seen this from a video, so I can't say yet if it puts you back to Fun District anyway or not, but if it doesn't, that could be a pretty big change for routing.
And finally, although not useful in the speedrun, you can consume time freely until the next Pat event on the 3rd loop onwards by talking to Bub. Again, really useful casually, probably not in this context.
I haven't tested enough, but I think the new minigame is required for the True Ending now. And also, routing might be different due to some position changes on puzzle pieces.
What should the ruling on the new update be?
(Personally, since there are so few runners of this, I'd say do like Hollow Knight or A Hat in Time, and just use a Patch variable. Maybe in the future, when more people run this, an actual subcategory should be made, but for now I'd say a variable is enough)
So, I did a run of All S-Ranks on Normal mode. The category is self-explanatory, but just in case: Create a playlist with all songs, and get an S-Rank in all of them. If you fail, restart the track until you get it. (That means you can keep trying, the run doesn't die if you get hit.)
Here's the link to the run (Mortal Kombat got silenced, so I'm uploading it to YouTube as I'm writing this):
I'm not sure if this could become an actual category or not, it's pretty much the equivalent of a 100% category.
Also, if this gets added, a subcategory for Normal/Hardcore would need to be added, but that's about it.
As of improvements on the run itself, here are the main timesaves from my run:
- Failed Termination Shock around the middle of the song.
- Failed Lycanthropy three times at the beginning due to me being bad.
- Failed Wicked twice at the first checkpoint mark.
- Failed Paper Dolls three times on the first half of the song.
- Failed at the very beginning of Commando Steve.
- Failed around the middle of Tokyo Skies.
- Failed Dance Of The Incognizant twice because I tried to do the cheese.
- Failed twice at the very end of Fox.
- Failed three times around the middle of Core.
- Failed a grand total of nine times on Mortal Kombat because I'm bad at this game.
- Failed three times on Deadlocked.
- Failed Strike The Earth! at the second checkpoint.
- Failed In The Halls Of The Usurper almost at the end.
All in all, sub 2h is possible. Thoughts?
Hey, not sure if this will help, but if you end up having to manually enter all times again, the times seem to appear in web.archive http://web.archive.org/web/20200901144614/speedrun.com/mappy#
I hope this gets fixed soon.
To elaborate on the previous post, it apparently does work if you use all lowercase as well, and when you use capital letters on the A and P at the beginning of the words, so something like "amazing penguin" and "Amazing Penguin" will work, but not "Amazing penguin" for some reason.
EDIT: so "Amazing penguin" does work but it doesn't show the game when only "Amazing p" is written? The search bar is weird lol
So, I requested a game a bit ago that got accepted (https://www.speedrun.com/amazing_penguin) For some reason, the game doesn't appear in the search bar, unless you add an underscore between the words like on the link, or you write it in all caps.
That is just part of the practice codes used for ILs. By seeing the codes available, I assume that is a lag frame counter, that's why it increments everytime he does specific things. Also, it's a 3-year old run, it's ok to be suspicious of something, but in that case just ask someone on discord instead of right on calling them cheaters.
Almost nothing is known about that version, so I imagine you will need to wait a few days to see if the experts of this game notice any major differences. If there aren't, I guess you'll be allowed. If there are major differences, though, you'll probably be able to submit to another leaderboard once it's created.
Not really a SMW runner, so I can't say anything about the JP vs. USA versions. But I can say the Orb/Cloud glitches are not mandatory, they just save quite a bit of time. If you want to not use them, that's totally fine and accepted. In fact, you can filter the 11 Exit times by "Orb", "Cloud" or "Glitchless", in case you want to see a top run without the use of either the orb or the cloud.
You can use any region (if you use PAL, there's a different category for it)
However, keep in mind that JPN is faster due to text and other differences, so you may want to switch to JPN once you're used to the game :)
(If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me, I don't speedrun this game yet)
