Time trialing is a part of racing. Racing is about going fast not RNG or pick-ups. But i do understand. This is truly a good racing game specially in multiplayer. Theres different line you can take. Spamming nitrous doesn't necessarily mean you go faster. There's avoiding certain "dirt obstacles". I can think of so many good memories, races and photo finishes while playing back in the day. Well i just wanted to mention it to see if anyone was down.. but i do understand it is a very small community, cheers.
Yes. You would have to prep and yes. Save states would be allowed since you are just competing for a specific time on a specific track. Save states are allowed as long as you do a continuous run without splicing or anything like that. Once the timer starts there is no loading. The game has individual timing for each track also.
Well the point is to time trial. So one would want to race individual tracks with a full setup. Yeah seems also that it would be a lot of work. Just a thought for consideration. I believe this game is almost dead with the last run submitted insane RNG. Bonuses all around and easy to pick them all up. It was truly an insane run.
This is a fun racing game and very much meant for racing. Is anyone down to have track records? Basically time trials. This would be very fun and surely would attract more people to speedrun it.
I get this once in a while, ive attributed it to missing a checkpoing, what i think are the flags and why they move when you pass them. Its rare and unexplainable but i have seen it happen.

For All 27 Teams (V. Easy, Normal, and V.Hard) V. Hards ruleset includes the game must be played with computer assistance making it as hard as it can be, which can be very challenging. I will be starting to run this today on V.Hard i have done this before and it quite challenging to the point of almost a little unfais, but.. what isnt? Right?

I am down , i will write to them, no problem. I am looking forward to it and also maybe opening up a Difficulty run, and also computer assistance on. Which just makes the game ridiculously hard and so much challenging, so lets look forward to that.
As to settings: Well with 'Timer Speed' obviously theres nothing much to think of there, For the single game speedrun you would go for the fastest timer and for the 100pts the slowest. The only enforced rules are no unlockeable characters. So you are free to use whatever you want. You want computer assistance off because we know that this is how the game "cheats" against you. There was a whole video on youtube about this, its ridiculous OP for the CPU if you have that on.
Very surprising how no one noticed, he was using computer assistance on and medium difficulty.. SMH
