I don't run this game but making it mandatory for attempts to be livestreamed is unfair to players who do not have a good enough internet connection to do so. (Not saying there are people in that situation but I would say this for any game. People should be given the option to record offline. Always up to the mods in the end but that should be a given across the site imo.)
Seems like that's enough for sub 1hr once it's routed.
"Runs in the top 3 require a video" is part of the rules for board the platform. Why does WR for VC have none?
Edit: I see the issue is resolved, tbh I just wanted to see the video haha
Are you using OBS? I used to have this happen to me for SM64 but it doesn't happen anymore. I'm sure the exact reason why it stopped happening to me but I updated OBS, have reinstalled windows (for a non speedgame reason) so it could be a few things.
One other possibility is that if you search "Sound" (Not adjust your sound) on your computer and go to the Communications tab. By default it will be on: "Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%. Select "Do nothing" and it might work. It didn't solve my issue but I feel as though it is a prerequisite to fixing the issue and it could be the only thing wrong but that should definitely not be on any "Reduce" setting if you don't want and sound fading.
If you haven't already, look into the auto splitter. It makes running the game a whole lot more fun not having to worry about splits.
Batskip can be crazy risky sometimes. I'm not sure if you've run into this but as we were doing co-op attempts, whoever was playing huntress and performing the skip would get caught holding right but miss the bat. If you fall into that pit to the right it's an intsa-death and it's so frustrating. Lol.
Also I'm not sure if there is support for every game on fusion but netplay may be possible so if you ever wanted to try I'd be down. (I've experimented with it but not successfully yet.)
"It seems that you walk faster without armor" This would be huge if true, I'll have to do some testing. I've attempted some warp runs with no upgrade on wizard but haven't been able to pb yet. Also wow, that's WR for warpless wizard. That's too bad you didn't record it. (I'm assuming)
Learn other tricks to save time or do harder stars instead.
I would stick it out and practice with reds, if you look at my run I do a pretty simple and easy strat that is probably still worth doing instead of no reds and another star later.
Your run was submitted with In-Game-Time but it seems like only real time counts. If you change your time to real time it should update properly.
On a side note: (Because I don't want to start another thread.) The rules for individual heroes seems to be ambiguous. "Kill all training bots in the practice range with a hero, in order." Does this mean killing all the bots in order or is this left over from the all heroes practice range ruleset?
I've completed a run using an emulator configuration having 2 characters being played on one controller.
I did it for fun but thought it could be a fun misc category but if not oh well it was pretty fun.
The rules may be off. Every category states "Timer starts when you select Barbarian and ends when the screen goes black after final boss". Do you mean character instead of barbarian?
Emu related but I use Gamecube controller and it works for me. Similar notches to original but still easy for throws and I enjoy the general shape more.
I would definitely run barbarian as a misc category. I tried to use him with huntress strats and I can't even finish a run so it would be interesting to see.
What adapter and controller are you using?
I noticed that too, he has other runs on youtube though so maybe it was verified before the video was taken down?
I have a question but I'd rather not post another emulator thread so I'll ask here: I'm having trouble skipping the opening cut scene on PJ64. Is there something special you're supposed to do like beating the game in a different file or is it just pressing start because mine will not skip for some reason?
