Hey, trying out the demo run currently, and for some reason it won't let me make a candle after returning Jakob's body to Where We Live. Is there a different keybind or something?
Speedrun mode can be activated in the main menu in the Gameplay section of options
Category has been added! I don't currently own the version, so I'm not entirely sure if timing should be done the same way, but I am planning on picking it up soon.
What I've been doing to avoid issues is just restarting LiveSplit after every run. From what Avasam said when I was in his stream, the game actually creates a new instance in memory each time you start a new game, which makes it hard for the autosplitter to find the right variables in memory.
Yes, I had this happen during 2 of my practice runs. I have a feeling it has something to do with how you jump through the one-way wall and then enter the collection cutscene
^ for reference, that's the official link to the marathon and the VOD
Sorry, apparently when I added them the changes weren't saved? I'll re-add them now! @UnsinkableGaming
Just adding the No Restrictions category right now, if people want to run the glitchless any% restrictions I'll add that category later.
Just did a run during my friend's marathon and got a 12:38! VOD will be up shortly. 12:2X is very easily possible, and I'm sure we could eventually push for 11:XX
here you go, 13:05, sub 13 is easily possible
I've done a run, but there's nothing on the leaderboard to submit to yet. Once the category is up I can, tho!
I routed out All Bunnies, could the category be added?
Hey there! We're currently working on a category system for ILs! It should be up by the end of July.
Should be fixed now, looks like the link was there but src was trying to put it after the indivisible page link
I went ahead and made one just in case, here's the link if a mod wants to use it: https://discord.gg/rP7zn5a
A few guides are in the process of being made, so don't worry. I'm hoping to have one out by the end of October, but classes may push that date back.
The Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle DLC, Donkey Kong Adventure was basically too small to be a sequel but too big to be a basic add-on to the game. As such, the developers made it so that, once you load up the game, you choose from either the main game or DKA, and then it shows you either your 3 save files for the main game, or your 3 save files for DKA, depending on which you select.
While any% is the only category currently on speedrun.com for MRKB, there have been extensive talks on the Discord for future categories like 100% and the game's form of NG+ (All Levels WM). All these categories have equivalent forms in the DKA DLC.
Based on this, do you think it's worth it submit the DKA DLC as a separate game in the same series, or just add all these categories to the existing leaderboard?
I'm a fan of trying options 3 or 4. I'd really like to see highscore.com be bought, and would be willing to donate towards purchasing the domain. Another Idea of fundraising would maybe be a speedrun/highscore hybrid marathon?
This category was discussed on the Discord and called All Levels WM way back in September of last year. If I remember correctly, BnH said he'd be happy to add it as a category as soon as someone completed a run.
Didn't realize the file select timer took Prologue and Epilogue into account, that makes sense, though. Damn, I wish that wasn't the case, because it would be nice to watch the credits after runs. Oh well.
While you can't check the in-game timer until after the Epilogue is completed, the Epilogue adds no time to the in-game timer for the Summit section. Therefore, the in-game timer doesn't take the Epilogue into account and so I don't think real time should either.
