It's basically just doing all 4 individual discs back to back with only 1 attempt at each, which makes it significantly harder to get a good time. If I wanted to do individual disc runs, I could do possibly hundreds of attempts at each disc basically until I perfected each one. This would result in a final time of at least 5 minutes faster than my full game PB.

That's the VERY DEFINITION of individual disc attempt, one time.. individual, but ran MULTIPLE times to get a better result, hence the point GB and myself, are trying to make.

Then that is your prerogative, and is BASICALLY what the point of this board is for. Full games should not be allowed for submissions on this board regardless of difficulty, hence the greater difficulty and greater satisfaction of when YOU DO finish a FULL RUN (all the rng, for movement, menus, etc.).

I've made my decision (in my head) what I'll be voting for.. honestly, we shouldn't even need the damn poll becuz there wasn't an issue with submissions prior to this post i created. Live splits for submission time, each disc has its own time, and no full runs allowed on the individual disc board.

Perhaps going off of IGT then as opposed to livesplits for individual disc submissions? Might be a good way to help verify that way, whereas full game submissions can be submitted via livesplits or w/e?

In terms of a runner leveling dart to lv60 in disc 1, very unlikely, and if so, do you know how much time that would ACTUALLY take to accomplish Kappa. Not to mention, easily detectable by a verifier or moderator.. and not admissible.

With the update to the rules in regards to the individual disc leaderboard times, perhaps the mods should go thru each individual time on the board to ensure that each continuation (ex disc 1 to disc 2) is in fact continuing on the same save file.

Also, full run submissions SHOULD NOT be allowed to be used for submission on the individual disc leaderboard (if we're going to start being technical/ picky with how the individual disc submissions are going to be allowed). Full runs, although are completed disc by disc, have their own category and shouldn't be acknowledged as an individual disc submission.

This is the only way, in my opinion, that these rules can be or should be adjusted at this point. That, or wipe the board clean and have EVERY runner resubmit their times.

even knowing the time going into the video, i was rooting for ya Black.. RIP, nice 2nd place dude, sooo close!

Before I got my PS2 console (77k), all my submissions were submitted using duckstation with no modifications. Load times were in fact slower with default settings [(3m20sec from 1st input (duckstation) VS 3min18.5sec (ps2 77k)] I just never had the graphics up showing proof of FPS/controller input of course. On my next stream I can do a run with suggested settings from up above and submit a link in this thread in y'all would like?
