snipers only tower that doesnt lose time on these maps from my tests, and the 3D map mod confirmed it. great that this strat does exactly that!
CE was done here due to golden bloon, didn't feel like cycling it out.
forgot to mention, but traps are still slower on vertical maps for no reason. run with new trap strat will come out soon :)
If you have a google account, (which you clearly have if you're using drive) it automatically makes a youtube account for you under that google account
You could upload it to youtube like literally every other runner, it's not even that hard. Idk why you feel the need to argue when we made an exception for allowing this run
map is slower than it really should be for no noticeable reason, when I was running it a while back i was struggling to even get under :40
Big W.I.P, and we only just got access to this recently, so it will probably be a bit. We will make sure to keep everyone posted on what potential categories might be added, and how these might work / be timed.
Couple of ideas already in the works, but honestly the main thing when adding categories is if they will actually be run. I would love to have more categories to run and explore, but it would only be worthwhile if there is also interest and people willing to actually run them. I do suggest if you (or anyone reading this) have any good ideas, to please post a thread with your idea and detailed description of what the category is about, and how it would work. (I would post it on the main leaderboard for more visibility, so we can gauge interest as we think of categories to add.)
Something to consider for the extra categories is incorporating the requirement of using a fresh account, as it would make things a lot more interesting and fun, and leave plenty of room for different strategies and routing.
I agree with you, and while it would be nice, besides me and noneleft there is only really one runner who knows how to properly time runs. Also, even though we have "5" mods 3 of them are mods from a while ago (before I even became one.)
I'm planning to verify all the runs in the queue once I am done with my school work today, very sorry about the wait.
ye it lost 1.5, was the only notable thing about this run lol
maps with vertical entrances aren't that good for speed, especially for the strats we're using. sucks even more because it's one sided at the entrance unless you spend the 1k, which isn't really feasible for easy/med and doesn't really help in the longer modes
Most of us just use space to start the timer as it's also the hotkey to start the play button in game. Not sure about each splits, don't think any of the active runners use one. If you wanted to, you could make them but that's up to you.
You're allowed to use monkey knowledge, no double cash. Only power allowed is monkey farmers. You can view the rules for running the game by clicking on any category and then there should be a view rules box. I'll just give you a heads up because most people don't pay attention to this rule, and it's that you need to show the home screen before/after your run.
Personally don't use it (nor have I really seen anyone do so,) but if you haven't you could try following the guide on the github page to make sure it's properly installed. It does seem to say it only splits at r40, 60, etc. Try getting to one of those rounds to see if it works or not
There isn't any real point in making them split categories, as to be honest the player count doesn't really affect that much tbh. Realistically the fastest way to do co-op anyways is to just play it yourself via an alt account. The leaderboards are already cluttered as they are because of all the ILs being single and co-op, and it would be much worse if we needed to add another 3 categories essentially. (the page barely loads as it is lol) Also, no one really runs co-op that much and there are still co-op categories without any runs
FroStee single handedly inflating the economy
I think it would be pretty cool! If we did add it I think it should be either separated by difficulty or one category, as doing it for each map would make even more categories (which we have a lot of, and some still don't even have any runs submitted.) It would definitely be something different than what we currently have which could be a nice change of pace, not just being solely focused on speed but having to play with other things in mind as well. Especially because there are different combos and strats you could come up with, it would be extremely neat to see what people use when 2tc is more geared towards being beat as fast as possible.
