Twitch is changing their policy on video storage to only allow each user up to 100 hours of Highlights and Uploads. What this means for us is that anyone who is hosting a PB on speedrun.com in the form of a Twitch VOD Highlight could potentially have their submission video purged by Twitch starting April 19th, as they will automatically be deleting Highlights and Uploads until each user is under the 100 hour limit. The moderator team strongly recommends each user sort through their Twitch Highlights/Uploads and make sure they back up PBs to another video hosting site such as YouTube, and update the new link to the video on SRC.

You can keep your SRC submission intact if you go into the individual run's page, click Edit, then insert the new link and hit Update. Any changes made to pre-existing runs will unfortunately remove them from the boards temporarily and place them back in the queue to be re-checked by the verification team, but we will get to these runs as promptly as we can.

In terms of future runs, for accessibility reasons we haven't found it prudent to completely ban Twitch VODs as a form of submission, but rather we continue to strongly encourage YouTube submissions instead, as they are more enduring and easier to review for verification/frame timing.

We won't be going through and purging out every single run with no video, but for anyone with current top times hosted on Twitch, you will need to ensure an accessible video is present if you would like that run to remain on the board.
