Hello, I'm actually training to get a descent run on PS1 (no emulator) and I'd like to know if you guys could create a true PS1 section, cause I've seen there's already @ALZERI28 who's in 1st place but he played on PS2 with fast disc, meanwhile on my PS1 loading screens are way slower, meaning I have a real handicap here.. So if @ZEN_Ivan could either create new category or make me a mod (just asking you never know ^^) that'd be great cause I don't have any interest in running the game anymore if I'm competiting against guys with Fast Disc PS2 :/ Have a nice day all !
To continue about load times, does anyone know yet is PS Store version faster with loadtimes on PS3?

@zombieteube I could purchase it on thursday since I've recently got PS3. With disc it is same speed than PS1!
Yeah it is. But I can report on PS Store version later this week! But I get that 40-45% faster load times make it unfair :( Damn I actually want to start actively get back into this game now again :D I've wanted to do PS1-hardware run a long time.. My best was 20:44 if I'm not mistaken. Edit: Can confirm, I remembered correctly.

I downloaded PlayStation Store-version of the game on PS3, load times match original PS1. Only setup with load time advantage is PS2 Fast Disc Speed. On PAL-PS1 in Mission 1, from moment you accept your plan to first frame of mission load time is around 15,8 seconds (Got similair resuls with PS Store-version). While PS2 FDS on PAL is around 9,2 seconds (and around 8,4 seconds on NTSC-equivelant). And to put it clearly, those are just Mission 1's loadtimes! I haven't tested other missions, since I think M1 gives clear enough picture of difference on load times.
