Currently Racetrack% bans vehicle thrusters, which makes sense bc they change the scene dramatically. But I think there's a lot of cool things you can do if you're able to use vehicle thrusters and are able to leave the track- I know in messing with this myself there's a tradeoff of thrusters vs. the car's handling, as well as different routes to take / what sections of the track to skip. There's some strategy to it beyond "let me throw 100 thrusters on here and see what happens"

I would define the rules like this (borrowing heavily from existing rules)

• Use only one car
• Cannot modify the track / checkpoints in any way prior to the start of the run
• Must trigger all checkpoints

I hope I'm not coming on too strong- I have no idea how hard it is to make and maintain a category, or what else goes into that. This is just how I play on the track and I think it would be a cool category.

This is an interesting idea. I myself have also dabbled with boosters on the racetrack, and I'm the reason why they got banned from use on the leaderboards back in the day since yes it does change the scene quite a bit, and you're right about there being a strategy to it, you have to place the boosters very carefully to get it to do what you want, or close to what you want anyways.

I saw your 15.38 run over on the discord page and that was crazy, congrats on that run and the one that's sub 15 too. I do like this idea and I can see it becoming a thing at some point, I especially like the idea of more active runners for this game, if making a new category brings more people in then I'd be down to make this at some point, or something similar. I will make a post over on the discord as well but if we can get maybe 5 runners to make a run for this category idea then I might see about this becoming a thing, and for the rules for this category idea I think for simplicity we can just say normal Racetrack% rules but boosters are allowed and driving off the track would be allowed as driving with boosters it'll be almost a guarantee that you'll drive off of the track during the run.

And you're not coming off too strong I'd say, these forums are here to discuss things about the game, including new category ideas. The more information we have about a potential idea the easier it is to make a choice on whether it can become a thing or not. Asking about new categories is more than fine, I appreciate the enthusiasm!
