Wonderful new strat to protect the Plaza (at least from the front side): jam the AAT into the stairway and make sure it covers the whole entrance. Then you can respawn at the Plaza and catch the other AAT already with a buddy inside. Then it's just business as usual - neutralize the CPs with the buddy while your team cleans up.
