1. I'm unsure what to tell you as I've yet to see a successful WW where Mario looks different or there is no text or something. The only difference is the curtain is a bit broken, and sometimes there's an annoying beep going. But the rest should look the same.

2. VC is banned because to put it simply, the programming of the game differs from the NES version(s) and the result is that some setups could be possible on VC while being impossible on every other version. The idea is we use the original version as the norm for what is allowed (so something that isn't possible on NES isn't fine). BizHawk is banned for the same reason despite being the best emulator out there otherwise.

Oh. Well, that makes sense. Those glitched credit sequences are a result of (probably) slight variations on the VC run. I've seen some crazy versions of this princess chamber. Just today I had Mario and Peach fall through the first tile of the floor. VC deserves the ban.
