I was messing around when I saw this but i have a feeling its already been posted XD
here is a video:
I also figured out recently the exact pixel to get that automatic switch to the other side of the screen, since if you try it sometimes you get stuck on the wall D:
The first brick on the left of the pipe at the second to last pixel. When you run and hit the pipe you then turn around and walk to that pixel than turn again and hit the pipe. After that then go to the block
no ive done tests and doing it at around that speed is faster :P not as much as the original but still good for beginners
Never saw it this way. While we're at it, here's another fancy (but useless) way to enter the Warp Zone in the All-Stars version (not a wrong warp though):
wow i like that! its fun watching how Mario can just teleport to a different side of a screen vertically and horizontally. just by being on the edge
I can confirm that this method is faster than taking the vine. The vine animation costs something like 5-6 seconds, but getting 370 entering the pipe there only loses around 2.4 seconds compared to the optimal wrong warp method.
If you get stuck that means you did not move to the right enough and there was too much of the block hanging off. It happens to me a lot.
