Is it possible to use an autosplitter for the nestopia emulator of the game. The one Livesplit provides is by narfman and is for FCEUX 2.2.3. is there possibly I can use that one for the nestopia or is there a seperate one i could use?

which version do you want? looks like 1.51.1, 1.52.0, and 1.52.1 should work. testing mesen 0.0.7 is probably worthwhile, too

Is it possible to use the autosplitter without using the OBS virtualcam plug in. When I try to add the "effect filters" there is no option available for that on the OBS.

if you are using an emulator, I recommend you do not try to use a video autosplitter :\ at any rate, I can't help with it, it never worked for me through autosplit... you might consider https://github.com/Toufool/AutoSplit

hmm well. I only have one monitor; I could possibly manually split it on screen. Though when I click on livesplit to split it, the main emulator will freeze until i click back on it again. The final time would be ahead by a few seconds but I'm not sure if it would be eligible for verification due to the short freezes between time splits.

Play how you'd like, but you don't need to do any of the advanced verification stuff, and rather can focus on a fun speedrunning experience for yourself :)...

• livesplit isn't required for submissions

• livesplit supports "global" keybinds - it can not be focused and still receive keystrokes to split

• you may configure your emulator to run in the background, thus not freezing (it cannot be frozen during the run)

• if you run your emulator fullscreen - note most monitors run 16:9, and a more pleasant experience is the original aspect ratio of 4:3. There is stretching otherwise. Thus, you'd likely have screen space on the sides. Google/youtube "integer video scaling" for more on that.

• might be worth a double check on getting the updated nestopia autosplitter - beginning and ending the game is the most consistent thing about it, is frame perfect, and is easiest to set up
