What should be counted as 100%? There's no way to get the national dex without trading, so either trades would be allowed or the 100% runs for Pikachu and Eevee would have different requirements.

So 135 should be the max the max dex without trading which would be the potential "catch em all" category unless some silly exploit is found. it would be 150 - the 4 trades - the 12 exclusives + the 1 gift persian / arcanine so they would be relatively equal when comparing to the any%

I've also wanted to look into what the routing would best be for a 60TM run but that's something else unless it should be included in 100%

I agree with pozzum that the max for 100% should be 135 Pokémon- All Pokémon obtainable within a standard single player session of the game.

There is however also the matter of console time manipulation, seeing as it is the only way to consistently get the other fossil in cerulean cave, and possibly get enough moon stones for the run.

I'd love to hear your opinions of wether or not this shold be allowed. My opinion is that it should be allowed, as to not make 100% insanely luck based.

I am currently routing a 100% run and will post as soon as it's ready.

Edit: I have just tested console time resetting by the way, and it doesnt seem to work, so scratch what i said about using it. Respawns of fossils seem to be related to steps taken, as far as i can tell.

A few of us have done 135 runs already, so it's certainly possible that it becomes a category. For time manip, there would be no real reason to disallow it, but it's worth noting it's not required either. There are 4 moon stone evolutions with only 3 moon stones, but 3 of the 4 moon stone evolutions can be caught in the wild. In addition, time manip for the fossils isn't required because you can just save scum (save in front of the fossil, pick it up. if it's the wrong one, reset and try again) for it

Oh god, how could i forget that. i even did it on my last playthrough. I'd love for 135 to become a catgory, and will keep on working on my route for it.

I would be interested to see a 135 category as well, any thoughts on getting one up?

It is likely to happen as in a recent survey out of 23 runners voting 20 voted for this category to be added and 3 didn't care. Only 1 person that doesn't run the game voted against it.

When should we expect the category to be made available? I am interested in running the game, but only really for "100%".

I don't really know, I have to bring up the subject. Nonetheless nothing prevents you to do a run of a category that isn't official. Doing runs of something that isn't official just increases its likelihood to be considered to be added as an official run ;)
