50 Point Challenge.

When To Restart:

-You turn it over
-Scoreless Possession
-Jump ball
-Disconnected Controller (All Times)
-You commit a foul

If you're having a great run it might be smart to ignore these and keep your head high. If its after your 20 point mark keep going until it obvious the run is dead. These really only apply to earlier in the run

Type of Defense:

Play Light Defense. A Block or Steal give you great fast break opportunity. If it looks like you'll commit a foul doing so let them score. If you're close to 50 points (47-49 points) Let them score so you can get the ball and end the timer. Also, look to leave the paint open so the player passes it to the center and he scores quickly. The point is, you want quick defensive possessions

Other Advice:

-Make sure you have a back on your controller and high battery percentage. A dead battery or a battery falling out is an instant run kill.
-Skip Timeouts ASAP
-Its risky ,but go for the hero ball as much as possible. These lead to quick easy points.
-Be Careful on the 3 point line. A missed shot can lose you up to 24 seconds. Just take high percentage 3s rather then fadeaways from half-court
-Take more 3s then 2s, while risky, it's insanely faster, and 2k21 has pretty high shot success rate too.
-Try to keep your offensive possessions as short as possible and the instant you get a decent look, shoot it if you're going for a really good time

Also, play on 12 minute quarters, this is easily enough time to score 50 in one quarter, on shorter quarters you lose time in between them.

Blacktop 1v1

When playing blacktop, the shortest run we have, there are a few small things to do to have a good run, here are some tips
-Use a player with a high three point rating
-Play against someone who is either quick or has a high three point rating on offence, and has low perimeter defence
-Shoot threes only, massive timesave and shouldn't be an issue if using someone like Curry
-Limit dribbles and time wasted, literally just shoot immediately once the ball is checked
-Let the opponent either shoot or drive to the basket immediately
-Watch WR and top runners
-Finally, play on Pro difficulty.

With these tips, it should be enough to help you get sub 1:40, little things among different runners create small timesaves, which can't really be taught. Just go ahead and give this run a shot and use this guide for help

Play-Now

Setting Up:

Make Sure to go to settings and set it to One minute quarters. Make sure you Make Late game fouling to Manual. Set time outs to manual. Make you turn game replays ,and player shots to never. The best teams to use are All-Time or WNBA teams as they don't have a halftime show

When to restart:

-Assist Prior to 4th quarter (Any team)
-Foul of any kind
-You Score
-Challenging team's 3rd shot. (Sometimes the 2nd shot)
-Out of Bounds
-Disconnected Controller

When Playing:

If you play with an All time decade teams or a WNBA you don't have to worry about skipping a half time show. You are better off waiting until the 4th quarter to let the other team score, this way you don't have to worry about player of the game. When playing defense, all you want to do is not let the other team score (unless you're tied in the 4th quarter). In between quarters there normally is some unescapable show. You can prevent this by subbing a player in. If you want to keep your line up threw out the game , do this at the very end of every quarter as well.

Prelude speedrun guides and notes

-The game will not allow you to foul out of the second HS game (the one where you get injured), however it is still faster to foul 4 times and then play out the rest of the game when you get injured
-The game will not allow you to foul out of the first college game, it is not recommended to foul at all during this game (the one where you play against your own team)
