I'm always watching new runs on Youtube (like Couriway,Feinberg etc.) or in speedrun.com latest run and I realized they change time layout like this:

I can't see on java speedrun discord maybe I missed but, Is this mandatory?
I don't quite understand what you mean, but the counter is mandatory in under 17 minutes. If you want to add a timer, you can download live split and adjust the settings in the application called obs.
EN: I already use livesplit. In the run videos what I saw new, runners added text "RTA, IGT" on a livesplit layout. I see this in everyone in the last 5 days. Is that mandalory?
