I finally nailed all the different steproutes on a good run!
This run is also the first ever run to have less than 100 (only 90) random battles! And lemme tell ya...THAT wasn't a simple 'ting...
I am so happy to get the 2:3X:XX time finally! Between my initial world record and this run it was 17 months to the day.
When I got my last PB I was satisfied with the progress, but I was having a lot of strat-finding success, so I just knew I could get a sub 2:40.
I ended this run with a Sum of Bests of 2:30:18 which is crazy enough, but a day or so after this run I thought of (and tested) one final strat that would've totally pushed SoB below 2:30 RTA if implemented later on...
This game is amazing. I loved this art project of theory-crafting this run and taking the time so far down.
It's so cool to me that I now have beaten a run that I was intimidated by by 20+ minutes... At this point I'm over 35 minutes faster than the initial WR...
In the future, I think I'll try to speedrun this game for 'lunar new year' next year and annually to try to see a sub 2:35 RTA. I don't think sub 2:30 is actually viable, but if it becomes a tradition or something, who knows.
For now, I'm stepping away. I've done more than I set out to...now it's time to relax.

PS: I think I've decided making a Lunar TAS isn't actually as fun of a project as I expected. I may TAS Snatcher instead. Point is - Lunar doesn't lend itself to TASing so well (and it was very boring).
