This is for any weird stuff found in the game. This can be from not-useful skips to odd happenings to very minor time-savers.
useful for 100% if there's a way to do it backwards:
Fun death glitch in voldemort fight (sorry for loud danish yelling, I thought I would lose my run! - Just turn down volume a little)
I've been messing around with this on and off since last May. It works in the same way as Statue skip in Transfiguration - ledge-grabbing where an object's collision covers the ledge clips you into it and pushes you straight out (known as a proxy) and this speed carries on into your jump. This has been very close with almost the highest possible proxy speed, and, if it gets over to the ledge on the left, a jump from there to the further ledge would skip most of the dungeon, saving nearly 8 minutes.
I tried messing around with an idea I had with the corners, and turned out it worked. Although, the geometry of the wall is terrible and I couldn't really get too close. These are just a few examples of 40 minutes of save stating.
We normally think about RNG as something bad. Well, take a look at this video https://secure.twitch.tv/slendbed/v/76008457
I'm sorry, but early sloth brain was already found a couple of weeks ago by ThinksTheClown :/ I edited the guide to avoid more confusion
Hi everyone ! Saw in the last videos of ladderboard (Slendbed & UglierGoblin) that you found a skip into Forbidden Forest (when you dodge last Incendio). Can you explain how to do this trick ? I tried but could't have this "walk into wall" thing. Thanks !
Edit : Found !
I found a wrong warp yesterday. It occurs after being OoB below Hagrid's hut, then going back up to the normal level and entering the door in front of his Hut.. I talked with Purple about it, and I think we concluded that it had to do with touching/not touching death planes outside the level, which causes the game to set Harry's death flag to "true", which leads the game to somehow send you to the checkpoint after entering the area. Purple's theory is like so: "Maybe you don't hit the deathplane, but the game still sets Harry to spawn at the start of the area, expecting a death state. since you transition into the Puffskein area, the game sets you to the start of the area, which is down at the other end, but it then also thinks you have the death state, so it repeats itself."
Hey everyone. Today we have a small update for you all regarding some changes to the rules regarding recordings of runs.
For a long, long time now it has been a requirement for PC runs to have both clear visuals of the game throughout the entire run (so not hiding any game HUD elements or FPS count
