Here's a compilation of all the speedtech, glitches and exploits we have gathered on our discord
- Box clip
Box clip is a glitch that allows you to get out of bounds and skip all the way to the boss fight of the factory
Here's a bad tutorial that i made when it was first discovered
- Longer jump
If you jump up any kind of slope you jump much higher and further, so it's basically a better longjump and great for traveling through some factory rooms and for the stairs before Quassi
- Bunny Hopping
For those who don't know, bunny hopping is a speedtech dating back to the source engine where if you repeatedly jumped as soon as you hit the ground your momentum would keep increasing making you able to move very fast
In this game it works a bit differently than in source, your momentum doesn't keep increasing, but you can keep the top speed of longjumping without any break in your momentum.
How it works is that you hold the sprint buttons and jump, after your first longjump just keep jumping immediately after you land without letting go of sprint
- Attack cancelling
I'm not sure if this can be considered a tech since it is part of the loading screen tipps
All light attacks can have their endlag canceled by simply jumping or evading out of them, this makes fast hitting weapons (like boxing gloves) very good for the early game especially
- Slicer jump
The steel and volt slicers don't use up a jump with their grounded heavy, which means you can triple jump with them by performing a grounded heavy then a double jump
- Quick Slash
If you jump into the Slash fight arena (Slash Story%) before the doors close you can hit him during the dialog, if you do this, the optimal way of damaging him is a grounded heavy with the steel slicer and 3 aerial hits. After that you only need one more hit to defeat him. If you defeat him before the cutscene starts though, he gets stuck in his weakened animation and can't be hit so you have to reset. Also if you hit him with the kinetic repellers during his ending dialog it also breaks the game and you have to reset
- Fast armor kill
You can hit through the armor of fully armored enemies by spacing yourself correctly, but the spacing varies with every weapon and its extremely inconsistent. So to remove the armor, the quickest way is to hit 2 heavy attacks (or 3 depending on the weapon) on the center of their back, that's enough to completely dismantle an armor
- Stunlocking B-DSS Knight
You can stunlock B-DSS Knight by using any fast volt/electric weapon, evading the first attack string and mashing light attack afterwards
- Quick B-DSS Knight (Robnin)
The Knight' first attack is always the same attack and to evade it you simply need to jump over him, so to kill him fast as robnin, while airborn above the boss, do a heavy with your fire sword, then land and hit him 4 times with the light of the volt sword. Depending on the upgrades you have it might vary by 1 or 2 hits
- Hardcore Parcour
You can stand on every geometry in the game no matter how thin it is, which you can use to your advantage when climbing up roofs in city to destroy the security systems and to more quickly reach the top of the elevator
If you have any more just post them as a reply to this thread
Sticky Jump; Sometimes when you jump into a corner, you will get stuck. If you hold forward, and mash your jump button, you can get an jump out of it, even if you used your double jump.
Quick Quassy:
Even though there is no visual indication, quassy always has a hurtbox which can be attacked, it's located in the bottom center of his model and allows you to always finish the fight in 2 or 3 cycles
Quick sewer boss:
The gas tanks can be hit from the outside which allows you to destroy the next one before the one before that even finished exploding, the last tank has to be hit from the inside otherwise you softlock the game
EXP count saving:
This is very important tech for slash storyline percent. You can set the amount of exp you will start your next run with by ending a run in death, once it is set, as long as you quit a run before dying the exp counter will stay the same for the next one as it was set earlier. This is used to keep 2 (or more) exp boxes in order to increase movement speed at the beginning of every next run and to buy the volt upgrade for the bad boy knuckles when doing the free slash quest
