Not submitting a run

Any of you guys ever not submitted a run because you were unhappy with it... A game I’m playing I submitted my first run (40m) I was happy with it, I’ve currently beat the time (32m) but I was not happy with the run so I’m not submitting that (I mean I should hand it in because that a lot of time save but I know I can do better.)

so I was wondering have you guys ever done something like this?

Plenty of people don't submit new pbs for one reason or another, which is why someone made this vid. That said, I've held off on submitting runs when I expected I could do better, though usually when I'm expecting to put in enough time to get a better run within a day or so.

Always submit your runs and always leave them up even after you retire from speedrunning. The communites for the games you run will always be happy getting runs and having them up for people to learn from.

Yes it's quite common in the game I run (Streets Of Rage 4) to know you are not happy with a PB so don't submit it until you get a better one.

There is something to be said for submitting runs in case there are tricks others could learn from it, there is something also to be said for holding off on submitting "poor" runs. It's your choice.
