Hey Distance speedrunners!

We have some thrilling news to share with you all. The console edition of Distance have officially released! Now, players on PS4 and PS5 can join the speedrunning fun. Here’s what you need to know:

1. PS4 & PS5 Submissions Open: The leaderboards have been updated to include the PS4 and PS5 platforms. You can now submit your speedruns from these consoles and see how you stack up against the community.
2. Leaderboard Updates: With the new platforms, we’re excited to see new records emerge. Note that the 'GPS Glitch' appears to be patched in these console versions. It is still available on PC so it will remain a variable on the board, though if we see a larger amount of console submissions, it may be moved to a subcategory in the future.
3. Speedrun Timer: It also appears that the speedrun timer in the general options is not available on the console edition. Submissions done on console will have to submit with just real-time (RTA) or manually calculate their in-game time (IGT). Note that the board is sorted in IGT by default, meaning runs without IGT will be listed at the bottom. Mods will attempt to manually calculate IGT for submissions without it, but this may make the verification take longer; please be patient if submitting a run without IGT.
