Platform Differences

Could somebody explain to me the differences between the NES, SNES, GB, and Genesis versions of this game? I know the 16 bit consoles have better graphics and the gb version is more squished, are there any other differences that would matter for a speedrun, because I am not sure which version of the game I should pick up

Good day, the differences in the versions are present, the NES version has a sound bit that is very “juicy” but it adds lag to the game with every hit, and so there is optimization in this to make it as little as possible to catch it. SEGA version is slightly different from the NES there is quite strange to my feelings works mechanics DashJump'a as well as there is a completely different battle with Roper (3rd boss), Well and SNES version is radically different from the others because it uses a different game engine if I'm not mistaken it was used in Final Fight. In terms of differences there is a very complex space, but the segment with saucers there without randomization in contrast to the previous two versions. Also on the battle with the queen hitting her on you removes 1 unit of hp. (In the other two 2) The most difficult battle with the queen in the NES version in my opinion. I haven't played the GB version so I can't say anything about it.

From what I can tell, it seems like the snes version has less overall content than the other versions, hence why the record for that version is 18:35, and all the other versions are a 21:XX or slower.

In Snes version faster scroll and dont have smash sound lags
