The route used is the one from the splits in the resources tab.
For this route you need to get the Rookie and Reckless Trophies, + some extra trophy rewards from the later trophies. That means that you have to get :
- 500k total maniac points : which you do anyway if you gold every maniac event that you have to do
- 500 near misses : shouldn't be to hard to get either, I generally get these after 1h20 or so
- 25 gold medals : you'll get over 40 of them anyways
- Burnout x1, x5, x10, x15 : pretty easy tbh
- Obtain any dominator car : literally part of the route
- 100 takedowns : this is where it gets tricky, try to get as many takedowns as you can during eliminations, because the road rages aren't enough, try to get a few during races as well
- 1 Aftertouch takedown, 1 Rampage, 1 Double Takedown, 1 Race won after 3 crashes (I recommend Tuscan Hills Race in the Tuner series for that), crashing an opponent 3 times in a race (Tuscan Hills again, just try to hit that J-Coupe one more time than what you need to unlock it)
- 2 trophies out of the last 3 in the 3rd Trophy (Vertical Takedown, boost for a whole lap, win a race without crashing)
But if you do all of these you will be short on point, you need to get at least 1 signature shortcut. I recommend to do the one on Bushido Peak as it is one of the easiest ones to get, and you have an opportunity to unlock it very early in the run in the 1st road rage. If you don't get it you can reset or gamble that you're gonna get another one later. If you get 2 other shortcuts you'll be able to skip another event later on, like the hot rod dominator challenge for example.
You can save time in road rages by crashing your car repeatedly until it's wrecked once you got the gold medal.
Splits ending by "(wait)" mean that you have to stop once you reached the points requirement to get a gold medal. This is faster than completing all the laps on most maniac events.
In the Race Special Series you don't need gold medals to progress, so you can do these 2 optimizations mentioned earlier after you got bronze. For the burnout challenge, stop boosting every 2 burnouts to not unlock the car and save time (by not having to watch the cutscene).
That's it for this guide, if you have any question, I'll be here to answer them on the Burnout Discord (linked in the header), get the dominator role and ask in the dominator channel.
Good luck !
Considering that the PSP and PS2 versions of the game have some major differences (handling, events length, traffic density etc.) the leaderboards have been split, so the PS2 runs are no longer competing against PSP runs.
