NES Championship category rules

Without RamenWolfe's video, this becomes impossible to know what's expected. Do you have to win the championship? Or just finish the races? Seems like it should be "Win the championship" but the rules definitely don't clarify that, and there's no way of knowing what the only run did since the video is gone.

Help?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. This was something that the old moderator had put in that I just assumed was correct and clear. I changed it to say that you only have to finish the races. If you think it should be required to win the championship, let me know as I am definitely open to changing it (or adding a separate category for it). I have also deleted all world record runs that are no longer viewable from TornRose and RamenWolfe. I feel as though it can deter new runners from trying the game if they are unable to view WR’s and it can prevent current runners from being able to learn from unavailable WR’s. I will make it clear in the rules that video proof is required for a world record run to remain accepted. Thank you again for pointing this out and please let me know if you find any other errors.

I would say "any%" needs to beat the game. A championship is required. Doesn't need to win EVERY race, or lead EVERY lap. But beating the game and seeing the ending (championship trophy screen) should be required. Nearly every other game, no matter how broken, usually requires this for something to be called "any%"

The loss% can be any season that doesn't win.

The old any% rules just seem to be halfway in the middle and don't actually bother beating the game or breaking anything cool. The any% championship requirement category would make this redundant though.
