This is a link to a short YouTube guide I made on running the first act. Thought it might be helpful as you can see the actual run as well as commentary over it to hopefully avoid any confusion with any fast paced sections.

Displaying FPS in-game using Steam

"Steam" > "Settings" > "In-game" > "In-game FPS counter" > Pick any except "off"

- If you bought the completed collection on Steam, restart the game for it to take effect.
- Else: "Add a Game" > "Add a non-Steam game" > Choose "Age of Empires III" (plus the expansion if you want to run on them as well) > "Add selected programs". If the game isn't on the list, continue: "Browse" > Find and choose the launchers of the game (.exe files) > "Add selected programs". Launch the game with Steam.

This helps proving your run to be valid for having Vertical Sync On as the counter won't go up above upon 60 at any point of the run (In a few cases it can go up for a short while but mostly will be capped at 60).

If the counter stops functioning (freezes), toggle window mode on and off.

Fala galera, eu sou Lawiet3 e esse é um guia prático para correr nessa categoria, esse guia foram estratégias que eu pensei e a maioria que eu vi no canal do EmpiresFreak que tem o WR na campanha total do Age of Empires Vanilla, agradeço a ele primeiramente por vir com a maioria das estratégias deste guia. São missões pequenas e perfeitas para você que quer começar a correr esse jogo ou qualquer outro RTS;

Esse jogo roda em RTA (Real Time Attack) então ele contará o tempo total da run e não o tempo dentro do jogo, o tempo começa quando você clica no botão play da tela de seleção de campanhas e termina quando começar a tela de “you are victorious” da última fase.

Breakout

Essa missão mostra como vai ser o caminho dessa run, você simplesmente desobedecerá a todas as ordens de Morgan e jogará do seu jeito.

-	Comece selecionando todas as suas tropas e as enviando ao sul do mapa, não se preocupe em levar dano ou em sua base, ambos não estarão em perigo pelo resto dessa run.
-	Vá ao mercado e faça a pesquisa para melhorar coleta de animais caçados, é o com a foto de cachorro, troque toda a sua madeira em ouro. Realoque todos os seus aldeões para caçar animais, pegue os tesouros de comida do mapa com um aldeão somente, maximize sua coleta de comida.
-	Volte a sua base e comece a produzir rodeleiros veteranos, você precisará de aproximadamente 45 rodeleiros veteranos para atacar os canhões, envie os rodeleiros para o sul do mapa onde se encontram suas tropas iniciais.
-	Depois que você produzir seus rodeleiros, envie seus aldeões ao topo do mapa onde se encontra a fogueira, deixe-os lá até Morgan pedir para você acende-la, isso irá fazer o Spawn dos canhões mais a frente.
-	A primeira bombarda irá aparecer aos 04:33 no tempo do jogo (ative o tempo ingame nas configurações), você terá que emboscar a bombarda com os seus rodeleiros, infelizmente você terá que ver a posição inicial de Spawn da bombarda no meu vídeo pois eu não consegui achar as imagens do mapa nos arquivos do jogo para fazer um guia mais preciso. Deixe algum espaço para a bombarda spawnar, se você deixar suas tropas muito em cima da posição de Spawn padrão a bombarda irá spawnar longe de suas tropas.
-	Depois que a primeira bombarda aparece e é destruida, Morgan irá pedir ajuda e você terá que acender a fogueira com seus aldeões, envie seus rodeleiros ao norte pra enfrentar a bombarda que irá spawnar lá (*), deixe a outra metade dos rodeleiros no Spawn da primeira bombarda e as tropas de Morgan ao sul para destruir a última bombarda (*), destrua as 3 ao mesmo tempo, quando as 3 bombardas forem destruídas, a missão estará completa.


Into the Caves

Nessa missão as opiniões de Morgan são opcionais.
-	Selecione os 3 piqueiros suíços, Morgan e Alain e envie-os a caminho das cavernas ao nordeste do mapa(*), faça a mesma coisa com a bombarda. Produza 20 Pikeman e faça o upgrade dos mesmos, envie 10 para as cavernas e 10 para o armazém de munição que aparecer logo após você defender sua base.
-	Use seus Crossbowman para defender a base e depois envie-os a caverna.
-	No seu caminho das cavernas, faça as tropas de Morgan destruírem a prisão onde se encontram mais Piqueiros suíços e adicione-os as tropas.
-	Quando o armazém de munição aparecer, envie os 10 piqueiros para lá.
-	Quando chegar na caverna, siga essa ordem de destruição.
1: A bombarda irá destruir o armazém mais próximo da entrada da caverna.
2: Os piqueiros e os besteiros irão destruir a do meio.
3: Morgan e as tropas irão destruir a mais dentro da caverna
Mission Complete

PIRATES!!!

Morgan acha que o navio não está bom o suficiente para navegar, eu discordo.

-	Ponha as tropas de volta no navio e vá até a ilha mais ao sul. Deixe Morgan e um hussardo na ilha.
-	Envie o barco a ilha oeste, lá estará a segunda parte do mapa que você precisa, enquanto isso, volte rapidamente a outra ilha e envie um hussardo para distrair os inimigos vermelhos, utilize a skill de Morgan no pirata marrom e pegue o tesouro.
-	Na outra ilha deixe a carroça e faça seu centro da cidade na praia, envie seu navio de volta para resgatar Morgan enquanto ele saqueia o mapa(*), Envie o navio a base da Lizzie onde se encontra a torre da praia (*).
-	Quando seu centro da cidade estiver construído, coloque os aldeões dentro para escondê-los, daí, mate o pirata marrom com seu centro da cidade. Envie seus aldeões para resgatar o mapa quando o guardião morrer.
-	Descarregue Morgan e suas tropas na base da torre da praia(muito cuidado nesta hora pois se você clicar em uma área errada da torre Morgan pode ser teletransportado de volta para a segunda ilha onde você pegou ele e daí você teria que reiniciar sua run), envie suas tropas para o centro da cidade escoltando Morgan, utilize da skill de Morgan para matar o pirata marrom e saqueie o tesouro. Cuidado nesta parte pois as tropas de Lizzie podem atacar Morgan diretamente e o mesmo morrer, tente utilizar suas tropas como iscas para proteger Morgan.

The Ottoman Fort

Missão simples, tente não perder muito tempo na mesma, se quiser pode tentar construir só um quartel para tentar acelerar o processo de destruição da base inimiga.

-	Construa rapidamente seu centro da cidade perto da praia, envie seu navio ao sul para destruir o cais inimigo e suas tropas com os 2 aldeões para o sudoeste do mapa, onde você encontrará a “porta dos fundos” da base inimiga (*).
-	Quando o centro da cidade estiver completo, faça seus aldeões construírem um mercado e uma casa ao mesmo tempo, envie 300 de comida das provisões da capital a sua cidade. Depois que as construções concluírem, mande os aldeões coletarem madeira.
-	No mercado use seu ouro para comprar madeira, é bom você utilizar um pouco de comida para comprar ouro para daí comprar madeira, esse processo precisa ser feito para você ter uma quantidade de madeira boa para fazer 2 quartéis.
-	Antes de chegar nos portões inimigos, faça Morgan pegar o tesouro de madeira no caminho, isso ajudará na construção dos quarteis e dos piqueiros.
-	Use seus 2 aldeões para construir 2 quartéis e continue enviando 300 de comida de sua capital para manter sua economia fluindo, após a conclusão do primeiro quartel comece a enviar piqueiros para destruir a base inimiga, com o término do segundo faça a mesma coisa (*).
-	Depois que o portão da base for destruído, use Morgan para tankar o dano do forte inimigo fazendo-o atacar primeiro, depois leve seus piqueiros para destruir o forte, continue trocando comida por madeira e continue a produção de piqueiros, a missão finaliza quando você destruir o forte e o centro da cidade.

Entre as missões, você usará seus 2 pontos da capital para desbloquear 2 falconetes e 2 morteiros que serão utilizados na próxima missão.

Temples of the Aztec
Não quero saber que não há tropas o suficiente para destruir a base inimiga, eu faço minhas próprias tropas.

-	Envie suas tropas ao portão inimigo imediatamente (*), envie Morgan para libertar os prisioneiros astecas, uma skill bem utilizada deve matar todos os inimigos que virão em sua direção, mate os que sobrarem.
-	Envie os astecas ao portão inimigo e construa a feitoria na base asteca.
-	Depois que a feitoria terminar, a carroça irá aparecer, rapidamente construa seu centro da cidade e envie as tropas ao portão inimigo, delete o barco, envie seus aldeões ao portão inimigo também, quando o centro da cidade for concluído, envie 2 morteiros da capital.
-	Você terá de construir na frente do portão inimigo as seguintes estruturas nestas ordens
1: Construa uma torre
2: Construa um mercado
3: Construa uma feitoria de artilharia
4: Construa 3 casas
-	Quando a torre estiver concluída, rapidamente faça-a receber todas as encomendas da capital, é o botão azul quando você clica na torre, agora os morteiros irão aparecer lá.
-	Use o mercado para transformar comida em ouro e ouro em um pouco de madeira, você precisará de 500 de madeira, utilize destes recursos para fazer 5 morteiros.
-	Utilize os morteiros para destruir a torre inimiga e avançar pela cidade.
-	Use seus hussardos para destruir a torre mais ao norte(*), os 2 morteiros que você enviou para destruir a torre mais próxima do centro da cidade, use suas tropas para destruir o centro da cidade e o estábulo.
-	Envie 2 falconetes da capital, utilize seus 5 morteiros para destruir todas as torres a noroeste da cidade (*), o tempo finaliza quando todas as estruturas forem destruídas.


A Pirates Help
Uma missão com tempo que você terminará em aproximadamente 3 minutos.
-	Envie Morgan com 2 hussardos para a feitoria ao sul do mapa (*), defenda sua base com o resto das tropas.
-	Construa a feitoria sem matar a tropa indígena que aparecer, eles matarão você, ao sudoeste do mapa há um rebanho perdido, ache-os com os hussardos(*). Nessa mesma hora os ataques na sua base devem cessar, pegue suas tropas e as envie a praia leste da cidade (*), com seus aldeões construa um estábulo e também os envie a praia leste.
-	Envie o rebanho de volta a cidade, tente não deixa-los cair em mãos inimigas, faça-os ir primeiro a Lizzie e depois a fazenda.
-	Com Morgan e os hussardos mate os guardiões da canoa bem ao sul da praia, não deixe-os subir a praia ou eles conseguirão reforços e você perderá muitos segundos, depois que a canoa passar ao seu controle delete-a, ela irá respawnar na praia onde você enviou suas tropas, depois disso envie Morgan de Volta a Lizzie.
-	Lizzie irá pedir para você entregar um garoto indígena de volta a sua tribo, ponha o garoto na canoa com suas tropas e seus aldeões, entregue-o na outra ilha.
-	Com suas tropas e aldeões vá ao sul da ilha para resgatar um artefato perdido, utilize suas tropas para distrair os inimigos e capture o artefato com os aldeões. A missão é concluída logo após isso, e Morgan tem que estar perto de Lizzie para a missão fechar.

Spanish Treasure Fleet (the run killer)
Essa é a missão mas difícil e aleatória da run, tome cuidado e tente sempre manter distância do exército de Delgado.
-	Coloque todas as suas tropas na praia, pegue o morteiro, o falconete e a carroça e ponha no navio maior, envie as tropas terrestres para o primeiro navio de ouro. Envie o navio grande para a base inimiga a noroeste do mapa(*).
-	Com as suas tropas destrua a torre, faça Morgan tankar o dano assim como na 4 missão, com os navios menores destrua a prisão dos astecas.
-	Envie os astecas ao norte para destruir a torre (*), é crucial não errar a torre, se você atacar a torre errada, sua run estará perdida.
-	Após a torre inicial ser destruída, envie Morgan para destruir a torre no meio do mapa(*), os guerreiros astecas normalmente passam por ela no caminho da torre ao norte então você não precisa muito lembrar da posição.
-	Volte ao navio grande, ponha o falconete na praia a oeste da base inimiga e destrua a torre que se encontra na mesma(*), ponha o morteiro na praia da base inimiga e destrua a torre mais próxima das docas, fique na praia e não se aproxime da base, se você se aproximar muito, o exército do Delgado vai ver você e irá atacar seu morteiro e você irá perder a run. Depois que essa primeira torre for destruída, destrua a torre mais ao norte, tente se manter na praia longe do Delgado, se ele perceber sua presença, ele irá tentar destruir seu morteiro, sua única escapatória dessa situação é tentar distraí-lo com seu navio e a carroça, tente enviar a carroça para longe do seu morteiro, a missão finaliza quando todas as torres forem destruídas.






The Fountain of Youth?
Missão fácil, tente diminuir seu tempo aqui na construção de morteiros, não tem como falhar a missão.
-	Envie seus navios pegando fogo para destruir a fonte, use seus hussardos para tomar controle do canhão fixo.
-	Delete todas as suas tropas menos os hussardos, eles só servem para consumir seu nível populacional.
-	Quando você tomar controle do canhão, destrua a torre na ilha mais próxima da fonte da juventude, após isso mire com o canhão na fonte da juventude para maximizar o dano. Um barco irá trazer a carroça com aldeões e mais tropas, rapidamente ponha os aldeões no barco e construa seu centro da cidade, delete as tropas que chegaram, envie o barco para a praia do lado do canhão e construa uma fundição de artilharia lá.
-	Com os aldeões que saírem do centro da cidade, construa perto da praia uma fundição de artilharia, um mercado e uma casa o mais rápido possível.
-	Use sua comida para comprar ouro e um pouco de madeira, faça o máximo de morteiros possíveis com suas fundições.
-	Pegue os morteiros com o barco e coloque-os na praia do lado da fonte da juventude, coloque cada vez mais morteiros para acelerar o processo.
-	Quando você destruir a fonte o tempo termina logo quando a tela de You are Victorious aparecer.

Guide to Run Act 1: Blood - English Version

Age of Empires 3 Act 1: Blood - Easy Any% Route

Hi everyone, i’m Lawiet 3 and i made this guide to show some of the strats i researched for this act, major Shoutouts to Empiresfreak, i watched his videos and took notes and made some adaptations to run this first act, note that this act has very short missions, you spend most of the time on loading screens, try to make the most of it, if you have any questions, i’m at the Real time Strategy discord and my twitter is @Lawiet3. 

This game runs on RTA ( Real Time Attack) which means it measures the real time that has passed from start to finish, rather than in-game time. The clock starts once you hit Play and ends in the You are Victorious screen at the end of the last misison.

Breakout

This mission sums up what is to run this first act, a complete disregard for Morgan’s opinions, he will say that you cant win with pikes and shots, and that’s exactly what you are going to do.

-	Start by slecting all your troops and sending them to the bottom of the map, let them stay there and don’t worry about your fort, it will hold nicely.
-	Go to the market, spend all your wood on gold and research the “dog project”, it will make your peons gather hunted animals faster. Select your peons and send all of them to gather hunted animals.
-	Go back to your base and start making Veteran Rodelero, you will need aproximately 45 rodeleros to fight the bombards, after they are produced, send them to the same place your original troops.
-	After you produced the rodeleros, send your peons to the top of the hill where is the fireplace, leave them there and wait for Morgan to ask for the help you will never need.
-	The first bombard will appear 04:33 in-game time, you will have to ambush it with your rodeleros as seen on my run, unfortunately i haven’t been able to find the map images to guide more acuratelly. Leave some space to the bombard to spawn, if the troops are on top of the spawn point, it will spawn away from your troops.
-	After the first bombard appears and is completely destroyed, Morgan will ask for help and your peons will start to gather the wood, send half your rodeleros north to fight a Bombard, let the other half in the position the first bombard appeared and the initial troops south, so that they can destroy all the bombards at the same time, when the 3 Bombards are destroyed, the mission is Complete.


Into the Caves

This is another disregard of Morgan’s opinions.
-	Grab the 3 swiss pikeman, Morgan and Alain and send them to the caves, do the same thing with the Bombard. Produce 20 pikeman and the pikeman upgrade, send 10 pikeman to morgan and 10 to the other Munition Depot.
-	Use your crossbowman to defend your base, after that send them to the caves as well.
-	In the way to the caverns, make Morgan free the Prisioners and add them to your crew.
-	When the munition depot appear, send the 10 pikeman to them.
-	While reaching the cave, here’s the order of munition destruction.
1: The bombard will destroy the depot closest to the entry.
2: The pikeman and crossbowman will destroy the one after.
3: Morgan and the boys will destroy the last depot that hides the secret entrance
Mission Complete

PIRATES!!!

Another example of Morgan’s crew not caring abou anything he says. The ship is badly damaged? We don’t care.

-	Put the troops back on the ship and sail to the island south of the initial island. Drop Morgan and 1 Hussar with him.
-	Send the ship to the island where is the second map piece you need, while you are doing it, send the hussar to bait some of the pirates and use Morgan’s Skill to kill the treasure guardian and get the first Map Piece.
-	In the other island, drop the Town Cart and make your town center there, then send your ship to get morgan back, send the ship to the tower of Lizzie’s base.
-	When your town center is complete, get your peons and hide them in it, then, kill the Treasure Guardian with your town center. Send all your peons to grab the second Map piece once the guardian is dead.
-	Drop Morgan and the crew in the tower, send them to get the last piece of the map and use Morgan’s Skill again to kill the last guardian and send Morgan to grab the last map piece. Be aware that Morgan can get killed in the process, try to bait Lizzie’s Troops into attacking your crew to protect Morgan.

The Ottoman Fort

This mission is not very hard but you can lose some seconds in it.

-	Put your town center next to the beach very fast, send your ship to destroy the enemy docks and send your troops and the peons southwest the map to the enemy base gate.
-	When the town is complete, send your villagers to make 1 market and 1 house, send the 300 food from the capital city to your town. After the buildings are complete, send your peons to gather wood.
-	In the market, use your gold to buy wood and use some food too.
-	Before reaching the enemy gates, make Morgan grab a wood treasure nearby, this will help to make some barracks.
-	Use your 2 peons to build 2 barracks in front of the enemy gates and keep sending the 300 food from the capital, after the barracks are complete simply start making pikeman to destroy the enemy base.
-	After the gate is destroyed, use morgan to tank the damage from the buildings and use the pikeman to destroy the enemy fort and town center, when those are destroyed, the mission is complete.

Between misisons you will need to use your 2 capital points to unlock 2 falconets and 2 mortars for the next mission.

Temples of the Aztec
This mission sums up the disregard Morgan moto that this run shows.

-	Send your troops to the enemy gate right away, send Morgan to free the Aztecs, one skill blow can kill all the troops that arrive, if one survive just finish him of.
-	Send the Aztecs to the enemy gate and build the trading post on the Aztec City.
-	After the trading post is complete, a wagon will appear, quickly use the wagon and send your troops to the enemy gate, send the peons there as well. Send 2 mortars from the capital.
-	When the town is complete you will have to build next to the enemy gate in this order
1: Build a tower
2: Build a Market
3: Build a Artillery foundry
4: Build 4 houses
-	When the tower is complete, quickly make it receive all capital supplies, it is the blue button in the tower, the mortars will go there now.
-	Use the market to sell food into gold and some gold into wood, you need at least 500 wood. Use these resources to make 5 more mortars.
-	Use the mortars to destroy the enemy tower and advance into the city.
-	Use the hussars to destroy the up north tower, the 2 mortars to destroy the tower close to the town center, use your troops to destroy the town center and the stable.
-	Send 2 falconets from the capital and the 5 mortars to destroy the towers northewest the city. The mission is over when you destroy every structure.



A Pirates Help
This shows how you can become famous in less than 3 minutes.
-	Send Morgan and 2 hussars to the trading post south, defend the attack with the rest of the troops.
-	Build the training post and dont engage with the hussars, go southeast the island to find the herd and the beaches. At this time the attack was stopped, take your troops and put on the beach east town, with the peons, build a stable and also take them east.
-	Send the herd back town by first leading them to the beach east then to the farm.
-	With Morgan and the Hussars kill the guardians of the canoe, don’t let them go up since they will reunite with some natives and it will kill some seconds, after the canoe is in your control, delete it, it will respawn in the beach where you led you initial troops, after that, send Morgan back to lizzie.
-	Lizzie will ask you to deliver a netive boy back to the island, but the boy on the canoe with your troops and peons, take it to the other island.
-	With your troops and peons, go south the island and find the statue, claim it with your peons and bait the enemies with your troops, this statue and the herd should give you enough exp to end the mission.

Spanish Treasure Fleet
This is a run killer for sure, mind your steps and try not to engage.
-	Put all your units on land, put the wagon, the falconet and the mortar in the bigger ship, take the rest of the units near the first Ship. Send the bigger ship northwest the map were the enemy base is.
-	With your troops destroy the first tower, try to make Morgan tank the damage, with your smaller ships, destroy the prision fence where the Aztecs are.
-	Send the aztecs north to destroy another tower, see the video for map info since it’s crutial to destroy the exact towers shown.
-	After the first tower is destroyed, take Morgan’s troops to the tower up north, the aztec warriors probably already seen it so you don’t have to guess, destroy it with morgan’s troops.
-	Back to the bigger ship, put the falconet on the island west the enemy base and destroy the tower within that island, put the mortar on the enemy base, destroy the tower nearest to the river with the mortar and your ship, take your distance, if you are too close, Delgado’s army will engage with you and you will be destroyed. After the tower is destroy, destroy the last tower up north, after it is destroyed, the mission is complete and you are probably good to finish the run.






The fountain of Youth?
This mission is actually really easy and it’s basically making mortars.
-	Send your fire ships to destroy the fountain, use the Hussars to take control of the Fixed Cannon.
-	The rest of your troops are just for show, you can delete them and keep only the hussars.
-	When you take control of the fixed cannon, destroy the tower near the Fountain of Youth and then aim at the fountain. The wagon will arrive with more troops and some peons, put the peons on boat quickly and make a town center really quick, take your peons to the beach close to the Cannon, build and Artillery foundy there.
-	With the peons that come with the town center, send them to the beach, build an Artillery foundry, a market and houses, put them to mine gold.
-	Use all your food to buy gold and use gold to buy some wood, make mortars, the more the better.
-	Take your mortars and put them into the island near the fountain of youth, they will destryo the fountain, keep bringing mortars to speed up the process.
-	Time will come up once the You are Victorious screen appears.

Tactics for recording :
-if you are on Windows 10 : use Windows recorder Alt + G (best option in my opinion)

-you can use OBS for streaming if you want but be carefull, if your pc is bad, this can ruin your runs and the time is not in game (x2) but RTA (reduce the bitrate of your stream or non-stream if the lag appears in the level)

use SSD hard drive for reducing load time

Note for individual level : launch the level once, then give up, and then raise the level for faster loading
