Something has taken me a hot minute to get used to is the falling mechanics, which are obviously very important for getting sub 5 seconds on level 2, clock. The car doesn't exponentially increase in speed while falling as you might expect, it just stays at the same speed. I've been trying to break sub 4.8, which has been managed by like 5 people, through trying to find the right angle to fall at, but I realize this may be the wrong approach. I think finding a way to combine drifts and turns to built up at much speed before veering off the edge into the goal is what you actually need to know to get a high score. But tbh, it's such a microscopic difference that it might just come down to trial and error.
Actually i think I'm tweaking because it does increase when falling straight down, it's just not as much when traveling horizontally through the air.
