Hey everyone,

A load remover has been created for the PC categories by @Krolm and @Nighlin. The load remover functions by only counting the time spent within each fight (including pauses). This means that all loads during cutscene skips, transition screens, and black/white load screens will no longer be counted towards your time.

The purpose of the load remover is to equalize the differences between different PC hardware to promote fair competition and prevent the board from becoming pay2win. For example, some runners using SATA storage to play the game were losing time to those using M.2 SSD storage. With the load remover, this issue no longer exists, so competition will be measured fairly between those with different hardware. Another benefit of the load remover is that it removes the variance of time loss due to dialogue triggers during cutscene skips and bad cutscene skips in general.

• The load remover only removes loading time, but does not split for you, so you will still have to split manually as normal.

• All PC runs from this point forward will require use of the Load Remover. You can find the file for the load remover in the Resources tab with instructions on how to get it working.

• The end time will change for PC categories due to the functionality of load remover. Please be sure to recheck the rules for any difference in run ending time.

• For PC runs, please only fill out the LRT column when submitting your time. For Console runs, only fill out the RTA column when submitting your time.
