Console Permalock

Discovered on June 24, 2018, by Xcvazer If your timing is good, you can get the console (aka your menu) permalocked, allowing you to go through different areas including the main menu without the game automatically closing it. To perform it, you must click on an option in the console the moment before the game tries to close the console. By interrupting the command, you are able to freely move around with the console still opened.

Some weird quirks about the glitch are that if you try to use the console and exit the puzzle, it will go back to the trophy menu depending on which pack you performed the console permalock.

However, a major downside to this glitch is that it is a softlock as it prevents you from progressing to the next stages in a full game run unless you reset the game. For instance, Packs 4 and 10 are impossible to complete, as the arrows used to progress through the pack are blocked by the console. But the bigger issue is that the story-progression is unable to progress from the glitch. In Pack 7 for instance, the area where the developer activates the D.U.C.K., you can't actually progress after failing the Cat Photos Puzzle as the console, which is needed for the story, is completely broken. Because of this, you need to reset the game to get rid of the console permalock.

Example of the glitch is in the video under Tutorial Skip.

Tutorial Skip (Requires Alt+F4 for full game runs)

Discovered on June 24, 2018, by Xcvazer Using the Console Permalock glitch, you can actually speed up the Tutorial. When you get to the Vase Puzzle, open your console. Then click on the vase until it begins to fall to the floor. Then, the moment the vase touches the ground, click on the option "Exit to main menu." This interrupts the game from closing the console. Afterwards, hit "Exit to main menu" to go back to the main menu, then hit it again when you are at the main menu.

This causes the game to be confused, and the script for Tutorial will change as if you are playing the Tutorial a second time. This cuts down the long bet dialogue and skips fake "Game Over" cutscene, which saves ample time.

However, you will need to Alt+F4 (or close the game) at the screen where you receive the Trash Cup. This is to get rid of the console from blocking progress in future packs.

Dialogue Skip

Discovered on June 25, 2018, by FahadAmin

Dialogue Skip essentially removes some waiting time between solving a puzzle and progressing to the next level, which can be small, but the time save can add up.

To perform the glitch, you first must be in a puzzle, any puzzle. Next, the moment you solve the puzzle (whether it is a good or bad solutions), immediately exit the puzzle. Then, spam left click during the transition and if the game progresses you to the next puzzle instead of leaving you in the trophy area, then you have successfully performed the glitch.

It may not seem like much but essentially what will happen is for the next puzzles you solve (depending on the situation), you can skip parts of the dialogue and move on to the next puzzle with a simple left click.

Here is an example from an IL run (I don't believe it is allowed in IL runs btw).

The Dialogue Skip can also be used in full-game runs, as it persists until you reset the game (luckily, this glitch doesn't softlock the game!). Here are some dialogues that you can skip (the majority of them are main story dialogue).

  • Every time you pick up a trophy
  • Every puzzle in Story Pack
  • Phone Charging
  • Cat Photos
  • Crack Walking
  • Every puzzle in Pack 8 (after completing)
  • Unrecyclable (Story Exclusive Puzzle in Pack 9)
  • Fast Lane
  • Laundry
  • Burger
  • Car Parking
  • Passcode
  • Every puzzle that you done too much in a save file that the game ran out of unique dialogues to say.

Dog Walk Skip

Discovered on June 6, 2023, by Undalevein

In Story Pack, there is a puzzle where you the dog must wait outside for 55 seconds. In addition, every puzzle in the Story Pack forces you to wait for the narrator to finish her dialogue before you can move on. Technically, you could use the Dialogue Skip mentioned previously to skip her dialogue, but if you just do that, you actually can't progress to the next pack, as you actually gain a puzzle skip along the way. This is because Story Pack automatically moves you to the next puzzle, which is not normally seen in other puzzles, so if you complete the Dog Walk puzzle normally, the game will progress to the next puzzle, but you are forced to use the dialogue skip on the Cat Door puzzle; hence, if you do everything normally with dialogue skip, you won't get enough Good Credits to unlock Pack 7.

But even with those obstacles, it is possible to skip the Dog Walk puzzle with the Dialogue Skips to quickly complete the pack while earning the required Good Credits by following these steps:

  1. Get your Dialogue Skip from any level.
  2. In the first puzzle of the Story Pack (Kitchen Cat), solve the puzzle normally and DO NOT LEFT CLICK.
  3. Wait for her dialogue to finish and once the screen begins to transition to the next puzzle, LEFT CLICK NOW.
  4. Go back to the main menu.
  5. Start Story Pack again and speed through the first three puzzles. You can dialogue skip these puzzles.
  6. When you get to the fourth puzzle (Refrigerator Dog), solve but DO NOT LEFT CLICK until you start the fifth puzzle (Dog Walk).
  7. Once you are at the fifth puzzle, left click to skip the Dog Walk puzzle.
  8. Presto, you are done with the pack!

Below is a video from my Glitched% run where I performed this glitch. Note that I already performed the Dialogue Skip in Pack 3 already.
