Upwards Airbrake

I recently noticed that if you are in upwards velocity state (mech arms down or waving), if you brake in midair, you will counterintuitively gain altitude as you slow down. I haven't had a chance to try it myself in a run, but it could theoretically shave some time off the To The Moon run, since you don't have to get lucky with hitting the lower bridge wall at just the right angle.

Cool find. I tried it out, and although a sound idea in practice, I can't particularly see a use for it, as it looks like it just brings you to the peak altitude(?) you'd be in that arc but just earlier? Maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

Okay- scratch that, it does actually kind of work (thought might as well try and do another speed run attempt and failed) I decided to try going into the wall and brake, and that actually launched me up pretty high

Interesting, could be good for the story run as at the moment it is quite reliant on bouncing off a slope correctly
