hi! i'd like to detail some recent changes to these boards.
the gba's native framerate is approximately 59.7275 fps. the issue is that a lot of emulators (most notably mgba) use 60 instead of the native framerate by default. while this doesn't sound like that much, this adds up quite a bit, and in a 30 minute speedrun saves a little over 8 seconds. in a game like this where timesave is minimal, that 8 seconds is a lot. with the recent release of switchvc & finding out with some testing from @SoapAgent that it runs at 60 fps, ive decided to finally make some changes to these boards due to this framerate issue.
- runs on the board currently will be converted if using 60 fps
- runs on swtichvc will from now on be converted
- mgba has been removed as an allowed emulator to prevent people from using 60 fps
i'll be going through the boards and converting 60 fps runs. it'll take a bit, but the boards will be accurate. note: as of 2/27/23, all runs are checked
please message me any questions about the warioware boards
