But Why Lovander, specifically? You could do this for every Pal if you wanted to. Like do it as Individual Level Board if we want to, but it would be a waste of space just to do 1 Pal with no real reason to do so. Like Humans and Lucky Pals are 1 thing, but a specific Pal with no real reason?
Due to the fact that you can select every episode level by itself, it would make sense to make a individual level board
Totally understandable. They said that they were gonna add the channels when you gave it the okay
Hey, I talked with a Bluey Discord Server administrator and they would like to be the speedrunning server for the game. I understand that it's totally optional, but they would love to be part of the speedrunning community. I do see that you already have a server set up, but here is the link just in case
HI! This is a little foward, nevertheless I feel.inclined to reach out through the forums about a few things that might help with the game
I have yet to play this game(been on vacation), but i plan on running it soon. However, I do know that this game can have a 100% run
I also would like to make the Speedrun logo for this game if it's okay with you
There are plenty of Bluey Discord servers out there and I can try to get 1 of them to be the hub for the speedrunning community so we don't have to make a new one for it.
And finally, if you ever need help with verification and other little thing, I can always help. I do my best to help in every way I can!
Yeah, pretty much that. The All Captains could be a "Become Captain" run(Which would be beat Lanthe and possibly beat the game), and then Round 2 run
And Archangels is whenever you encounter a monster that states you are fighting an archangel(the screen goes "BBBbbrrzzzz" is a good indicator), so it would be 11(until whatever the DLC or Ruins has to say about it)
I recently started playing this game(July 2nd) and I have been thinking about running this game. I know this game didn't blow up like most AAA games, but I think having some other categories besides 2 different any% runs might make this a little more active. Here are some suggestions I think might be good additions:
All Captains(Beat all the captains, becomes a captain, then do all rematches(no need to beat the game)) All Arch-Angels(Beat the game with all Arch-Angels beaten(As there are more than 8 required ones)) All Partners(Beat the game with all partners unlocked) 100% Bestiary(Gotta Catch'em All(No need to beat the game, just complete the bestiary))
And then we could have fun little ones like Sunny%(Meet Sunny) or Dog%(Beat game with Dog), I don't know what would be good for those. However, I do like the longer ones as may bring more value to the board. This is purely just suggestions, but I would like to see more variety
I have been playing this game recently and there are definitely some catergories that could easily be ran: Boss Rush 100-Yard Hop(it has a literal timer in it and can set up a difficulty catergory within it) True 100%(collect all shards, enemy cards, and theater scenes) And then a few level runs just for the bosses
I know the runs kinda have been down for a while, but I would like to get it back up with a few new runs to make it fresh. I would love to do this game if new catergories were added
I know that there are some games that have something akin to losing as fast as possible, but would that really be something to strive for in this game if all times are gonna be roughly the same?
The games in question: Flash Party(which i subbmited),Multiversus and Fray Makers(which are both in). All 3 are platform fighters, all have the same amount of modes you can do(like 1v1, tutorials, etc.), super basic "we just started" motif
I am always looking for games that have yet to be included in speedrun's catalog, especially games I enjoy. However, I have some questions to the submission process as I have seen some inconsistant continuity with games that get approved or not.
So let's say 2 games are submitted for approval. Both games are very similar in gameplay, mechanics, objectives, just the same but different creators, characters, etc. And as they are reviewed, 1 get approved while the other gets rejected because of a reason that is present in the other.
My question in all this is why does a game get rejected for having the same "goals" as other games that get approved? Is it to limit games of that type? Is it based on popularity? Is the submitted video length or additional description to blame?
I am not trying to justify of getting my requests accepted(I'll definitely retry later when more stuff comes in at least 1 game) even if it sounds like it, I am genuinely curious on the process and I can better my submissions in the future
So, from my understanding of the game, there are a few categories that should be on the board to be included with the current boards(I am not including difficulty as those should be a given, and this is a personal opinion):
any%(“anything goes” and NMG) All Bosses(anything goes and NMG) 100%(anything goes and NMG)
And at least 1 or 2 misc categories with this one as a for sure:
Knucklebones(single player and all players(difficulty stays the same throughout each difficulty, so these should be level runs in my opinion)
Granted, there could be a lot more we can do, but having too much scares people, and too little makes it less accessible for small runners who might want to do something small when all there is to do is the full game. I personally don’t want to see the boards fill up with a billion random small quests, but the true genuine runs that feel easy and a good intro to speed running that isn’t the full game, I started off doing such runs before going into the full game. I get that any% is all that everyone talks about, but I do hope that those interested in the little runs publicly show interest in them, otherwise they will never come to the boards
Thanks for listening!
You also need to change the filter settings to view all patch runs. It only shows current patch runs
So, I have an initial question since the update today: Can we run a suggested category in hopes it can get added if we submit it to a mod, or is it more of a “we have to wait until they are added to the main boards to run it”?
I would love to do at least a few of the suggested here, but I don’t want to do it if it won’t go on because it won’t fit the boards in any way
You could say that any part of 100% can be it's own category. I could see someone doing just follower forms
KnuckleBones(With the following sub categories(and will probably be a level category if mods desire it to be)) Ratau Flinky Klunko and Bop Shrumy All Players
For Individual players: beat each player; timer starts when you start the match and ends when victory text shows
With all players, you can start with any player. Timer starts when you start your first match and ends when you beat the last player
Deathless any%/All Bosses
Same rules will be apply from any% and All Bosses, but you only have 1 try(that means no restarting from last save, New save) Using the Crown ability to revive using one of your followers is prohibited. Everything else is legal. Difficulty doesn't matter and will still be placed within the 4 difficulties
I mean, I like having it
I would say as long as a timer is visible to some extent, it should be fine
I have been interested in doing a run eventually in at least one of the games, except Hey Pikmin, but I have been very curious in seeing if y’all be interested in a new category suggestion to the main series of games: No Pikmin Death runs(runs where no Pikmin die)
I feel there are plenty of games out there that have a “no death” run of sorts but it mainly deals with the protagonist not the minions if there are any. However, I feel Pikmin would benefit in having a run that deals with keeping every single Pikmin alive from beginning to end in both any% and all collectible runs. It is very do-able and it doesn’t take that long to beat. I have done such a run in my latest play of Pikmin 3 Deluxe and it took about under 20 hours to do it.
I didn’t know exactly where to put this, and I have very little influence in here, nevertheless, I propose this suggestion in including a No Pikmin Death category wherever applicable
