Hey there, just a quick query, is there any chance of getting all the instant action individual levels added to the individual level leader board? i dont mind them not being there but i was just thinking that maybe they should?
I guess this means you gotta change the rules and say that the current load remover is banned and loads need to be removed manually for gc runs
Hey guys ive just noticed in my spare time that the load remover also removes all menuing in GC. this means that picking bonuses, moving ships and ai manipulation now counts as load time (according to my remover). I just want thoughts on this because i see the ai manipulation as a turn off for other runners and a tedious thing altogether however, it is key to the speedrun side of the game mode.
Personally i think its great because it means i can sit there for ages manipulating ai untill my game crashes but i can also see that its kind of unfair? in a way? This would most likely make the category more competitive though as most of it would be based on levels instead of ai rng on the map.
slightly less rng = more competition :D
I just wanna know if we should keep this as a good thing or just resign ourselves to manually removing loads for Galactic conquest runs
this is just a thought i had about a possible misc category,
i dont know what to call it yet but im trying to come up with a good challenge category and this came to mind
The category will include 9 maps except the player chooses which ones, the only rules are that you must play a map from each mode with each era and settings are default ofc.
For example:
1: conquest CW 1: conquest GCW 1: 2 flag ctf cw 1: 2 flag ctf GCW 1: 1 flag ctf CW 1: 1 flag CTF GCW 1 Assault CW 1 assault GCW 1 hunt
So the map choice could be something like this, ofc i would test maps to find the fastest :D but this is just an idea so ill chuck in a random example Coruscant CW cq Coruscant GCW cq Coruscant CW ctf Coruscant GCW ctf Endor GCW ctf tantive iv cw ctf Space hoth Space mygeeto naboo hunt
i just thought this would be a neat little thing to have fun routing with all the maps available and stuff, or maybe ill just do it as a funrun thing?
Note: Best part is you get to choose the fastest maps which are usually the ones that everyone loves :D

Load remover you just have to click the activate, but im pretty sure u gathered than when it popped up :D
Also, About assault%, let me know if u find any faster strats than the ones i have on my guide cos then additions can be made to improve it :D

Final thing, you should use the loads remover on livesplit, use the name "star wars battlefront ii" without the ':' and it should pop up for you. will save you having to retime :D
Just a quick query, am i able to submit IL's for levels that have been done within a run? for example, if im at naboo in an any% run and get a best seg, can i submit that as a IL? or do i have to do them individually(outside of a run)?
GC should be played as its meant to, you should be allowed to use bonus', upgrades and all that jazz simply because its there available to you. i just dont see the reason for making a category that would remove the ability to use some of the features that are available in the run? this also applies to the ai manipulation IMO. The fact that the rng can be manipulated like that should not mean that you cant do it, right?
Also, this doesn't mean that you cant do challenge runs just for fun though.

Right, so the loads remover is not an autosplitter, it just removes loads @rakv.
Also, it is probably possible to make it so that game time still runs through the spinning planets Menu'ing except its probably too much for me to do because simply getting the loads remover took like 8 hours+. (Cheat engine is hard XD)
Indeed manually removing loading times is really time consuming for most people and some may not even know how to do it so i would agree that it is a turn off and the load remover is an effort to negate that.
Given that i have literally 0 experience in coding i dont think i could do much more with the loads remover other than get it to remove other 'loading times' or fix it if need be.
Just a quick question about mods in runs. is it allowed to have a mod that, say, just changing audio sounds of guns or maybe some visuals? if the mod does not mess with the game mechanics or anything like that is it allowed? or are we just gonna keep it as a no?
I just thought it would be neat to change the sounds of some of the guns just for lols
100% Galactic Conquest is a nice idea, i would not look forward to running it though because save/loading is tedious af. and it would be like close to 3 hour run i think

OK GUYS, after about 3-4 hours or getting help and literally dying from multitasking at 3am i finally got us an autosplitter, courtesy of a few people ofc, (cos i cant code for jack), @Fatalis, @Shiftweave, @Sphere, @Spiraster, @0Seren, @Souzooka from the Speedrun tools development discord. Especially Shiftweave who basically spoon fed me the creation of the asl notepad file. also i cant forget Lukemodi for his moral support whilst i was slowly losing life essence over using cheat engine :D Rip console PC 4 Life (Side Note) To see it on livesplit u need to type the game name as exactly "Star Wars Battlefront II" and it will come up as made by lako3000 Time removed is exactly as we have already done so there is no need to change any current runs. it removes the time as soon as victory pops up untill the next level starts. which means it also removes time in the stats screen in instant action. I guess they are now break screens because real time still goes? so if someone needs a break from instant action% I'm guessing they can just keep it on real time whilst on stats screen as it keeps counting because it wont effect the in game time in the end. i do believe that by using this the quitting out in campaign when victory pops up is now not needed? if that is still done. i will say though i havnt tested the loads removal with campaign so if someone could do that it would be great, i tested it with instant action and it was amazing :D
EDIT: Load remover only works for a few levels atm, in the process of fixing it
EDIT: FIXED THE LOADS REMOVER. Conditions of it are as follows:
- Does not remove the initial load time of the first level of the splits.
- After the first level is completed it removes game time from the 'Victory" untill the start of next level (CAMPAIGN ASWELL). This means u can sit on stats menu or on the attack screen before campaign mission with no loss of game time.
- Timer will pause on final split so you can get accurate end time
- Disclaimer: ALL LEVELS HAVE BEEN TESTED EXCEPT FOR SPACE MISSIONS. NOTIFY ME IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS Thanks all

Just inquiring about the instant action category rules, it doesn't say that you need to be victorious in each level so does this mean that you can intentionally lose a battle if it is faster than winning?
For instance: If i was to team kill so that the enemy had the upper hand?
In the end i could always switch back to the opposite team for the victory anyway?

Not sure if you would call this a glitch but when i did galactic conquest speedruns i would try and manipulate the ai's turns by saving and loading. For example: I am Rebellion, Fleet spawn at hoth, Empire fleet spawn at endor. I would attack polis masa first which would result in the ai moving away from endor 1 space. Then after i conquer the planet i would save and load until i got the ai to skip its turn or move back towards endor in order to give myself an extra turn to move to the next planet. This trick allowed me to pretty much ensure that i would only need to fight 12 battles at most and hopefully 11 battles (if rng was nice). 10 would be planets and the others would be the enemy flests. I play on PC so im not sure how different it would be on consoles, probably the same though and tie wise the loads are taken out so if your fast enough with the menu'ing then u can get pretty good times.
Another thing to look into for load times, on pc version at least, is that if anyone knows how to make an autosplitter or knows anyone who can make an autosplitter for swbf2 that would be great, would save time from video editing altogether. (if only i did IT at school :/)
