I use Nestopia on a keyboard, so it's bound to happen that I hold left and right simultaneously at some point. Though, I have Nestopia cancel any L+R inputs, the problem emerges when I'm preforming Devil's Spell. Instead of releasing right to clip into the pipe, I hold left to cancel right (L+R). Which is basically exploiting the emulator. It seems kind of "cheaty" to me, so I'm just asking to clarify if those are valid inputs, since "right, release" and "right, right+left" output the same thing. I'm still kind of new to SMB2-J, so I'm sorry if this is just me being paranoid.
Let's go back on topic, can you go down to 457 framerules?
My theory is it's probably checking for an x-position instead of just simply hitting a block. The block just puts him behind the layer (which is why bbg technically does work) but the game only loads after he reaches a certain x-position.
He's bound to get it at this point. No way of stopping him lol
Wait this works on the original NES (not the famicom)?
Ryan, do you do speedruns on the lobby parkour in Hypixel?
Yes, I know about the vine glitch. But what I didn't know would happen is the part afterwards where the second vineblock gets all warped n' stuff. I only mentioned that I was using the v4.0 of the Practice ROM since I don't think there was another SMB2J Practice ROM, so this glitch (for World 8-2) would only work in this version of the ROM.
This is actually a game glitch, but it only happens since the Practice ROM allows me to restart the level at any point of the game. I felt like sharing this because it's kind of cool lol
Apparently, I was using v3.2 of your ROM before so I'm excited to see this update c:
