I tried to submit a run to the PS5 category, but the submission form seems to categorize all runs as PC runs. Additionally, some categories have no rules listed. Can you please go through the board and update the categories so that they all have rules and runs can be submitted properly?
I think there's room to also consider a run which uses the Crow Wings, but I haven't had much time to experiment with this particular item and it's impact on the route.
Proof of concept: Any% Restricted Bonus Costumes Only. More or less the same run, just without need to route in ammo.
I agree with soulmass, the banning of these elements leaves me in a position where I would be significantly less interested in picking up or promoting the run. It feels incredibly silly to allow "any glitch" but ban a built in tool that provides free time save on an any% run. Not only does this decision feel like its out of alignment with the spirit of speedrunning, it feels contrary to the spirit of the game and intentions of the developers.
PLEASE do not ban the accessibility features; I would vastly prefer to do the run WITH them than WITHOUT them. While the water of life does mean that you have infinite heals, using it takes time and does not even guarantee survival (as its a smaller heal than then ones you'd pickup throughout the run). If the goal of any% is to reach the end as fast as possible it doesn't quite make sense to me for this to be banned.
I would also argue that folks who need to use a controller to run the game would also be strongly negatively impacted by the decision to ban the combat accessibility features.
I won't be joining the server, as I'm in too many that I can't keep up with already, but I appreciate you getting back to me.
Quick heads up though that the category rules are not visible here on SRC, and game rules for the full run simply say to check the category rules (which are not accessible).
Heya! I just wanted to check in to see how y'all are approaching the full release of the game. Is the run going to be broken into separate categories for each campaign? Or do both stories need to be completed consecutively to count?
Heya! I've been interested in picking up this run, but really want to do the any% (restricted) route with bonus items. Any chance this could be added as a category?
Heya! I was wondering if there were possibility to separate out console runs onto a board separate from the PC runs? The current version of the switch port has significant differences, and I am concerned that the runs aren't necessarily comparable in their present state(s).
