The video isn't there anymore
Hi, can you please provide a new invite link, for I am interested in running this game (most likely 100% and even come up with misc categories). I finally got around to testing out the game on pcsx2 emu after discovering limited info on it several years ago.
Thanks for documentation! So this is a safer version of the "hesitation-less" room 18 strat that Koala and I have done for like 2 years now where without slowing down to wait for a shuriken clearing and trying hugging the "inner walls/corners" of the switchback nature of the room to save frames. As you improve your skill in this rm 18 strat, recalling that spikes have a weird, but intentional central pixel hitbox, so you might get to a point where you cutting corner most optimally in which you touch the leftmost spike's tip while falling without dying, lol. This strat has killed many of our runs.
yay, another runner. Best of luck on sub 2:30, you got this

I just created a general Discord for Scratch game speedruns: https://discord.com/invite/RuvgTGGeHU
I just created a discord server for Scratch game speedrunning https://discord.com/invite/RuvgTGGeHU
I created a discord server for speedrunning Scratch Games including this one: https://discord.com/invite/RuvgTGGeHU
I just created a discord for speedrunners of scratch games including gravity, especially that speedrun.com mods won't let us submit new scratch games. You can post your runs/strats videos in the run-videos-n-submissions channel. For longer runs, we can upload google drive/Dropbox/MEGA/Onedrive/etc links of such videos on that channel.
I am in the middle of establishing roles and whatnot along with dealing with my engineering classes and internship.
So after looking at the Resources page for Scratchnapped , I tested this offshoot of Phosphorus called Forkphorus which also it tends to run Scratch games more stable than on the Scratch website or via direct html.
Should future runs on Forkphorus/Phosphorus, like for Scratchnapped , be submitted as emulator? Just wondering.
Yeah, I've known about that strat forever. It's obiviously riskier than what I did in my 2:24 run but would potentially save like 0.1 secs.
Cool! Haven't bothered around with split icons in a while, but sound like a cool idea to include them in my splits for my next PB.
I found a sequence break in the level Contamination ( starts at 0:12 ) . This allows you to skip more than half of the 1st maze. B.O.B will fall down the horizonal grate if more than 40% of his character model touches it. However, if you move toward the vertical grate's edge in the vod at 0:14 while overlapping exactly 40% of B.O.B on the horizontal grate, you can pass though the edge and be pushed to the right. grate This was done on a NTSC copy of the PS2 game. Not sure exactly how much time it saves nor whether it can be done on other consoles & PC.
Could we add a 100% category, ILs, and future misc categories?
100% timing/rules/possible route: Timer starts when you gain control of Ginormica and ends when you lose control of Ginormica at the last mission.

Must purchase/unlock/complete everything (upgrades, concept art, the 21 challenges, models, commentaries) in the DNA lab before finishing the final level.

Suggested Method of getting the required monster DNA without having to replay levels: levels such as "Seeping In" have areas that will keep spawning enemies as long as you remain in the area and keep defeating them. You can infinitely use this to your advantage.
I am suggesting misc categories like a NG+ or DNA lab%
Any% NG+ should not have any cheats except for the All Upgrades cheat. Unlocking just that cheat saves the time/hassle from having to play on a new file & max out all the upgrades.
A run that uses all cheats should be a separate category: call it Cheat%.
Another possible category could be Cheat% w/o All Upgrades cheat
I wish; I've been de-rusting the game and running ILs of any% & 100%.
I was not able to get a hold of Zeeweey. Yet, the PC version would be acceptable. I am planning to submit a ps2 run at some point.
Here is a new game with its own speedrun mode and in-game timer https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/212838126/
looks like 7:53 or lower is possible now. Have you all tried to run Gravity 2? My best time is 7:37. I have to warn you that lvl 13 will be a jerk to do first try deathless.
