Man, this is insane. The Aragog trick was absolutely awesome. I don't know if its you who found it, but it's amazing. I didn't even know his web could be targeted....
Update: "-novsync" actually really helps to increase speed of the game! At least map opens and closes faster, plus loading time decreased for some points. I tested it on canister dupe glitch and with novsync option it's just awesome! However, it also makes Hulk look down when he jumps. I don't know why, but it just does it. I don't think it's a bad thing, but you need to get used to it.
For some reason, the game has many secret feats. Some of them are hidden, some might be completely removed. In the memory of the game I've found strings like "Visit every neighborhood in the game, plus Brazil and Southeastern Tech", "Play for ##:##:##", "Throw a civilian <integer> ft.", "Defeated <integer> enemies using grab attack", "Defeat <integer> enemies by throwing a cement mixer", "Destroy <integer> helicopters using a midair grab", "Defeat any of the U-Foes <integer> times", "Defeat <integer> enemies using friendly fire", "Defeat <integer> enemies using one object", "Destroy every building in New York City at least once", "Score <integer> points using one combo", "Throw an object <integer>ft." and etc. It's hard to say which of these are still present and how much it requires, but at least some of these dumb feats are still in the game, look at this:
X360/PS3:
Bullseye
Air Raid
Not-So-Friendly Fire
Waka Waka
Hulk The Cabbie
Rage Against The Machines
Hulk Smash!
Hulk Smash: Lights Out
Hallelujah!
Destruction In A Single Bound
King Of The Mountain
There are several launch arguments I've found in the exe of the PC version of the game:
-timing
-unitTest
-outputwatch
-saveoutput
-videomode
-1
-windowed
-novsync
-multiexe
-break
-texstreamnolim
-noshadows
-nofocusinput
-texstreamlowres
So far I noticed any changes only with windowed and novsync, but maybe other arguments do something as well. It's unclear if they useful for speedruns or can give some advantage, but we might want to consider them in the future. Maybe some of the arguments need also some value to work.
To use the arguments (for example, -windowed) open the settings of the game shortcut and add the argument after the path of the game like this: "D:\Games\The_Incredible_Hulk_Win_Files_EN\Game Files\Hulk.exe" -windowed
This will launch the game in window instead of a fullscreen. You can also use several arguments at once, just add each of them one by one.
Wow, such an awesome gameplay... I wish I could think of that way to defeat him back in 2003 playing the game casually.
It's weird that the game says I have only 96% of upgrades in the game. I have all feats completed, everything collected. 100% destruction (you get this for the destruction of every building in the city) does nothing to that at all and I just wasted my time on doing this naturally...
So what can it be? Is it only on PC or Wii and Ps2 have this as well? Do the nextgen version can't be completed on 100% as well? Maybe that's a bug or is there a hidden upgrade we can't get yet?
Okay, I tested it on Whack-A-Mole. Timer doesn't appear in the city... So the theory is broken. But I also noticed, than menu is really broken in this state: It does nothing useful, however.
Right now this new glitch can't do anything for speedruns of the game, but it might has a potential of breaking the game completely.
Check out these two videos with the demonstration of this glitch and the possible outcomes:
So, the thing is: if you reload a mission just quickly enough to not make the "mission completed" screen block the Esc button, but at the same time you'll be slow enough to not reload it too quickly before the game actually counts it as a completed mission - you will be in the state of that mission, but actually in the free roam city.
This glitch is really hard to perform intentionally. The timing is always damn insane. But I wonder what would the game do if the mission, for example, had a timer. What would happen when this timer runs out, but you are actually in the city and not in that mission.
In some games this type of glitches leads to the save corruption and to the unlocking the final missions of the game early and etc. So, this glitch needs exploration. I tried to catch this just a year ago when I started speedrunning this game and I couldn't, because the timings are barely humanly possible. And I thought it IS impossible. But no, it's not. There is a possibility to break this game in a somehow useful way. And one day it'll be found.
Speedrun.com leaderboards are for speedruns. Period. But this game still has some highscore based mini-games where you need to do something "as long as possible" or score "as much as possible" for a time period. I'm really interested in seeing what are the highest scores possible in such mini-games, that's why they are still here on the site even when they aren't on the leaderboards.
This message has all the current highscores for these mini-games. If you want your run to be on this "leaderboard" - leave a post on this thread with the run so moderators could approve it and add to the list.

Here's another example:
I think it may be really useful if we learn how to use it consistently...
I've found this glitch year ago, just when I started to speedrun the game and back then I didn't really think it worths anything at all. But seeing how many games use such proxy teleports in so many different useful ways... I guess possible speedrunners must know, that such thing exists here and it probably could even be used in the city to travel faster. I don't know if such points exist in this game anywhere else, but still... Just watch it:
Actually, it makes sense. I hope we'll see individual levels here one day. It would be cool even for story missions, because you could NG+ them being fully upgraded and it would be very different to speedrun. Minigames are kinda fun too.
Wow, it would be a great new category with so many new unexplored possibilities!
Can't imagine why would people submit runs without sound... And there's also 'nother sort of trickery available by simply changing the game files with debug commands and etc. I fear some people might use it to have a headstart... You know, a little bit boosted damage (by 1.1) or a little bit enhanced zip/swing distance. So it is essential to see at these moments as well to verify runs (at least the ones on the first 3 leading positions).
P.S. the speed of everything can also be modified even slightly.
Also, I played this game since 2008 (sometimes), so I kinda love it anyway, even if it's not the best game, it has flaws and PC version is crap... I was wondering why there were no runs. So with these bugs and everything, I hope people will be interested in running the game.
Map from the xbox version is different, so if you plan to add 100% category or all collectibles – they should be separate for both versions. Also, levels is a good idea. But! Hulk gets upgrades during the game, so mission replay will definitely be confusing kinda... But maybe that's the idea – complete mission as fast as possible no matter what. So, yeah, I'm happy, that I inspired you to come back to this game! I really plan to spend some time here, so it would be very cool to get competition. I tried to find more bugs and skips, but nothing works. I think there's no way to finish an actual mission without finishing it... Tried to die-reload, but it's not possible to do something in menu when Hulk is dead. Tried to launch the mission with an opened map, but it doesn't work, the timing is so hard... So yeah, if you will look for the bugs and run the game with me – we can definitely get some great result.
I think it doesn't work for Xbox 360/PS3 version. I tried it on many cans, but it didn't work. And this Daily Bugle building has a different location and there was no fury can. So it was not possible for me to test it on the same cans... I believe it works for ps2/wii versions, because it's the same one port. But methinks PC version will be the fastest.
Well, I accidentally found an awesome weird bug... You can see it in this video: Some of the canisters can be glitched using map. You just need to find the glitched canister (glitched canisters are always glitched, it's not random) and then open map and swap it with the pause menu screen until you get 100 canisters. You can get up to 170+, but your game will just crash...
I don't know if it's useful for speedruns. I mean, I die a lot in my runs, but I'm just don't know this game yet as good as I could. So maybe it's not an essential thing, but for bad players it can be really good. Because you just need to spend less, than 2 minutes to max your health (rage upgrade isn't important for speedruns at all) and it will help you to heal Hulk less often and not die that much. And after all, it's the first really interesting trick, which inspires me to search for more bugs and skips. This game is definitely not that well coded, it's broken and we must find a way to break it even more.
