in a 100% speedrun you cannot take breaks to save time as it is timed with RTA (Real Time Attack) which is used due to how the category is set.
if it was an IGT category it would work like how Mario4thew1n explained it.
its gonna be a long category anyways if you need to take a break the timer will just keep going. if you want you dont have to skip the credits and take a small break there but you can soft reset the console during the credits and it will save time anyways.

sorry for the late response. for any run that hard requires ctgp (item rain, 200cc), you can use the "BRTSM Only" mode in CTGP
Ok, I was just wondering because I feel less lag whenever I look at the Gamepad, although maybe that’s because I use the Gamepad as a controller.
So I was wondering what the differences are between WiiVC and WiiUVC. I’ve only used WiiU since it’s the only one I own (apart from SM3DAS) and it would be nice for some clarification.
