The only problem I see with adding more modifiers is getting too many. There's benn a lot of talk about adding Any% Expert, so theoretically, you'd have Any% - Solo, Expert, Glitchless which is just messy
Yes. Any and all P ranked levels will fall under Highest Rank - P
My understanding is that the change was made based on inaccurate timing based on a different load variable. I haven't seen a run with the new remover yet since it was changed overnight.
It's something I'll look into after I get out of classes today
We had it as "Any% Good Ending" before, but since there was interest in running "All Bosses" on Simple and Expert as well, it made more sense to just have an "All Bosses" category and combine everything, as opposed to having them separated.
That being said, I wasn't sure if the game tracked those as bosses or not. Good to know that they are. I'm not really a fan of going back and changing things yet again, but if there's enough support for it, that's a different story I suppose
I wonder if that could be it actually. I didn't even notice the screen scroll during that fight lol. I'll try replicating it tomorrow evening
I believe we're considering this a valid thing for Any. All Bosses needs to be on a consistent difficulty though
That's something we neglected to account for in setting up that category. We're fixing it now though. Rest assured your run will be put back in its rightful place!
Yeah, numerous tests have shown that it doesn't actually save anything onto a new file, so it's essentially just loading a completed (at least partially) file. As a result, we've decided to ban this glitch from being submitted. It is pretty neat though
Well, it seems like most people want a true 100% based on in-game completion percentage, which I believe is all coins, all levels, all bosses on Regular. Think we're shooting for a 200% too, which would be doing that and all the Expert bosses in the same run. The biggest issue right now to making it is defining exactly what constitutes 100%/200% as far as the game counts it, though it looks like we're close to settling that
That's something that's in the works. If there's interest in running it now, we can expedite their creation. We've been spending a lot of time making sure what we have already is clean and functional before we tackle something like that. We're also trying to figure out exactly what goes into building the percentage meter, so we can define some categories based on that.
Would the load remover not work for Xbox? Not sure of the technical details behind it
I could have sworn it was when I posted it. The sticky should be a permanent link though (I hope!)
Yeah, I wouldn't count the roulette "bosses" as bosses at all. It's way too easy to accidentally skip one anyway
Do you mean like beating the game without run and gun stages?
An autosplitter would be nice actually.
As a reference, I've loaded Pyramid Peril on the original Xbox One five times and timed the loads. Got anywhere from just under 19 seconds to just over 22
Not quite sure how this happened, but here's a quick kill on the Crane
Yeah, I could somewhat see that. But there are significant differences between the fights on Simple and Regular, so if we're going to do a boss rush, I'd say we should separate it into difficulties as well
Yeah, the run and guns aren't required. Just there for extra coins. They aren't affected by difficulty either.
I'd argue for Any%/100% for all three difficulties for right now. Of course, thw rules for Simple would be a bit different since you can't do the casino, but that's no reason not to have them
