i recommend you play on the standalones provided under resources (download the one for whatever os youre running), as these come with the pracitce mod too and allow you to disable screenshake. playing on web is not preferable, but definitely a possibility, just adds some input lag. the version inside 2018 celeste got recently updated to be more accurate to the p8 version, so that works too. id recommend standalones as they are most accurate to the actual pico8 version, and look best for recording.
we use IGT only, so livesplit is not necessary :) also sub5 is quite easy, youll get it in no time!
you collect so few (2 at most) that it really doesnt matter. it would just be an annoying alternative route, just like it would be in newleste, as the berry just so happens to be in the way of the route. low% categories tend to be added where certain collectibles skip large portions of the game (cant think of an example rn), which i think is not applicable to this game.
ive come back to this game after a few months of inactivity, and i really liked it. i do really miss the community aspect of it, as i think having a community to talk to just helps keep interest in a game. is there any way an "official" discord server could be made, and any way to increase its popularity?
its just a meme from our discord. it does have links back to the discord regarding roles etc. but we mostly just joke about it, and we would really value it if we could keep it, as its been there for a really long time.
most people play in pico8/standalones, but some do play on web. i think we should leave it as pc for the time, as there are dedicated standalones for those.
its fine, it just seems unfair to people in the community who have been playing the game for much much longer, and have put countless hours into it and are very skilled and involved with the community but dont have mod.
