Hi guys the Leaderboard for Re4R has been a mess for the longest time and I've been banned from the community discord for suggesting the game to be timed with "RTA" to fix most of the issues the game has.

Now a rule has been made to say no more pause for more than 5 mins, which makes no sense because all the runs pause for more than 5 mins.

"You are allowed to spend up to a maximum of 5 minutes in the pause menu for the duration of the run. This may be used for toilet breaks, urgent matters, etc."

"Spending extended time in the chapter end screen, watching cutscenes fully, or pause buffering constantly WILL count towards this"

More examples of silly rules are "you can do 30fps here, but can't do 30fps in other certain areas"

So basically now the mods can now take down whatever runs they feel. And they have.

Guys take a look at the rules and someone (site staff) needs to fix this.

Can this be cleared up -

Is Jizzy skip allowed & if so why?

Is EOTL1 skip allowed and if not why?

I don't see how EOTL1 is a mission, seems like a checkpoint to me.

Also I see Tirean was doing runs with GT skip, so was it allowed and someone randomly just decided to disallow it and to throw it into misc? I don't see any trace of a discussion.

I am removing my runs from this website,I no longer want to be a part of this circle. They will still be on my channel and for anyone who wants to see of course.

1/Main reason is the people behind getting the runs on these leaderboards are too ignorant to actually keep them right (e.g. ignoring the fact Anti was cheating in SA, not taking the runs down for months and not checking his VC/3 stuff for a WHOLE fucking year, not asking FLYING to provide add info before verifying his runs, constantly mis-timing runs and still having the stupid timing rule) there is more smaller things like this, I will not bother going into more detail. I am not even gonna go into the stupidity of VC/3 runners, i'll leave that.

Question for the mods, how do you know when the timing starts if CJ can gain control on a black screen?

And now the same people are still big stars the next day, which leads me to my next point

2/People who do constantly do stupid shit are still big stars the next day. MH removing IL leaderboards, still verifier, still probably had a say whether Anti should be permanently banned from the LBs in the little "group of friends" circle.

Joshimuz modding MH and defending him to death when he was doing stupid shit in the past, now he runs away from responsibility when it was his fault the ILs were removed, the next day Joshimuz is still making big decisions such as banning Anti from the leaderboards.

I could give more examples but these people don't really deserve attention.

It's actually funny how people see this website as a reliable one, they really need to see the behind-the-scenes bullshit that happens.

Future prediction, Joshimuz will be back here as Mod as if nothing happened in a few years.

People getting different treatment also because of ESA and other PR bullshit.

3/Categories only that the mods specifically want get added on the leaderboards, there's nothing more to say about this and it's quite obvious this is true, just read past locked threads if you have time.

It was the same idiots in 2013, same in 2018 and probably will still be the same 2023, reminder there is a difference between making mistakes and being VERY ignorant.

I'm basically sick of the never ending cycle of stupidity on these leaderboards so I do not want to be a part of it anymore. Same people with their same bullshit, same everything, different year.

Knowing all this, I do not see any point to be a part of this website.

There is some red pills in here and maybe some things that are ahead of their time, so don't be too quick to talk. But then again nothing ever changes so it probably doesn't even matter because it'll be overlooked. Be sure to overlook this too because of my age or because I said X in the past so this means this thread is X.

I will start off by making a list of all the missions where pause buffering is useful - tell me if i missed any.

Nines And Aks - Emmet & Smoke's lines Sweet's Girl - 2nd Call from sweet Tanker Commander - Catalina's dialogue Photo Opportunity - Dialogue after you take the last picture Fender Ketchup - To get the spook-o-meter to appear faster, not sure how fast this strat is. Home In The Hills - While triads are speaking in the plane & pause buffering for magic jump.

100%(Possibly) - Tagging up Turf - pause buffering to grab the ledge of the building where the last tag is. Should be faster than car or running all the way to the usual spot.

Couple ideas i don't want to test - feel free to test them 1.Pause buffering while speaking to Toreno on Learning to Fly dupe to make the phonecall go faster. 2. Pause buffering at the end of New Model Army to skip Zero's lines.

Also if pause buffering is consistent for you, post your secrets here. Kappa

Since times for some misc categories are getting optimised, i think everything should be getting documented better. If you have any timesaves/potential timesaves, post them here.

MIGHT NOT BE ACCURATE AT ALL but this is just based off my experience while running this game + some people know this i bet but lots of people don't

since the game has some kind of point system as far as stars go, let's say 2 stars has forms (light,medium,heavy) Killing,stealing etc all give different ammount of "points" so you have to do specific actions to get a police bike, if you go over the limit of "points" you will get police cars spawning instead of bikes. some combinations i've noticed that get police bikes ("light" 2 star level) 1.shoot cop car + kill cop (that's what you have to do in sweet's girl for insta cop bike after mission pick up) 2.run over pedestrian, then run over cop 3. few others i can't remember combinations that get police cars and VERY rarely police bikes(medium+heavy 2 star level) 1.Killing 2 cops (if you do this police bike will be very likely to be "late" in sweet's girl strat) 2.killing 2 cops +pedestrian 3.shooting cop car + killing 2 cops

there probably is a way to get police bike for t-bone dupe after jizzy everytime (something like kill limo driver + rocket 2nd car so you get "light" star level, or is the 2 stars after mission passed fixed? ) but i don't care enough to find out so if someone wants to do that go ahead! does this knowledge increase ykbb p bike consistency? fuck no, my strats are still shit and boat strats are faster anyway KappaClaus

as the stream goes on, the audio gets more ahead of the video. This does not happen when i local record, but only happens when i am streaming. I am using FFsplit but i am betting the fix for OBs would apply to that aswell. Any suggestions? ffsplit forums are dead so i doubt i could get help there :D

So i had this idea in my head for a while now,its known if you get 2 stars,there is a high chance that a police bike will spawn right behind you so i decided to test this for yay ka-boom-boom, surprisingly getting the 2 stars is not a problem at all,you take the bike from the officer,and run him over,also run over 1 more pedestrian = 2 stars (do it like i do in the video).Taken from wiki: "Police Bike Spawning on road almost everytime after saving the game at the garage in Doherty, San Fierro" (so if cop bike doesnt spawn,just save again,its probably like 5% chance it wont spawn)i have saved about 50 times,and every single time after i saved,there was a cop bike on the road. Here is a video of me attempting to do this (i have tried this about 5 times so far,everytime i have spawned a cop bike before going in the factory,maybe you dont even need to do the despawn/spawn trick to get a bike?) (Can't do anything about the lag or quality,it was either this or no video at all) Yes i know my driving is bad and i do this extremely bad. Also i am willing to bet a lot of money that any of these "strat" guys can make a better + more detailed video than me and improve this strat and make it consistent. Guessing this doesnt save more than 15/20 seconds,though it gives you a bike (you usually get shit cars on the road when you get out of the factory,maybe even faster than getting a BF-400.
