Not new, but as there's plenty of new ppl on the MK8 speedrunning scene with the success of the Switch, you found something new to many!

What you want is: Weight, Acceleration, Handling, and Traction. Lighter racers get pushed over easier, so choose someone like like Wario, Dry Bowser, and King Boo. Acceleration is obvious, you start faster. Handling keeps you on track and traction helps with Acceleraton. Hope I helped.

What does Nitro track mean? I understand Retro track, tracks from older MK games but i'm not sure what Nitro means.

Make a run, we aren't stopping you. Do it on your own field, upload it to YouTube and other speedrunning sites. I haven't seen any demand for 50cc or 100cc, as it's slow and not fun imo.

Since the rules don't say anything about this, should I count loading screens or not? Thanks.

I was playing through Super Mario World, and I jumped, and right before I hit the ground, I pressed B, and i jumped again. Not sure if this is a old thing, a feature, or i just made a groundbreaking discovery.
